The PEN E-P1 is a modern digital re-working of the groundbreaking original 1959 Olympus PEN camera.
The original idea was to create a camera that was as easy to use and carry as a pen. The incredibly small size, retro style, and ease of use of the new model are a nod to the PEN’s past. However, D-SLR quality and a host of new features bring it right up to date.
It’s easy to get creative with Art Filters such as Pop Art, Grainy Film and Pin Hole. You’ll also have the ability to vary the depth of field, angle of view, and autofocus during recording.
You can use a 7x and 10x magnified view for precise focusing and frame and review your photos on the large 3 inch LCD screen. 12.3 megapixels will provide enough detail for you to blow up your shots to poster size. You can even record high definition video with stereo sound.
The PEN also helps to ensure spotless photography with an efficient dust reduction system and a built-in Image Stabilizer.
The camera comes with a 14-42mm lens and is also compatible with the Four Thirds standard of interchangeable lenses for greater flexibility.
