The Toshiba 46SV685DB combines LED technology, a Full HD 1080p resolution and a stunning Deep Lagoon design.
The 46SV685DB features LED backlights which replace the basic fluorescent lamp backlights of a conventional LCD TV, producing a spectacular improvement in contrast and colour. Toshiba's local dimming technology instantly tailors the brightness of each individual LED to the image on screen. The result is deep, genuine blacks, authentic colour reproduction and truly incredible picture quality.
The Active Vision M200HD picture processing allows you to experience clear and smooth pictures, while Resolution+ technology enhances edge details and texture to upscale standard definition content to near high definition quality, providing clearer, sharper, richer images.
Clever Auto View technology is always working in the background to bring you a great picture. The ambient light sensor constantly adjusts the LCD’s backlight depending on the lighting condition in the room to provide a better viewing experience. In light rooms backlight is increased, in dark rooms backlight is dimmed.
You’ll also get the best from HD thanks to the 100Hz picture processing, which virtually eliminates motion blur often associated with fast-moving sports action with its 24 frames-per-second display – so you’re watching exactly what the director intended.
Sound quality is also excellent thanks to Dolby Digital Plus. And have you ever noticed how the volume changes between different channels and adverts? Dolby Volume is the audio solution that monitors and controls the volume of different channels and advertising commercials, to keep a constant sound when the content you watch constantly changes.
The 46SV685DB also features a USB input, allowing you to playback MP3 and DivX files from external devices. There’s also an SD card slot which enables you to view photos on the big screen. With standard Freeview tuner.
This television is ‘high definition ready’ which means it has the ability to display high definition signals with the addition of a separate HD receiver. HD broadcasts are at a much higher resolution than regular analogue or digital broadcasts and have greatly enhanced picture quality. The level of detail is astonishing with clearer, sharper and more vibrant images.
Full HD 1080p
1080p is the purest form of high definition that a television can display. This leads to a smoother, more film-like image, which will satisfy sports and movie lovers alike. With a 1080p signal, the information that makes up an image is displayed “progressively” or all at once, rather than in an “interlaced” fashion.
