Renaissance Life is a Swedish, London-based jewellery design brand that makes timeless hand-crafted jewellery with a meaning. The inspiration comes from magic, dreams and illusions and our endless possibilities.
Linnéa Götstav; tstav, designer and founder of Renaissance Life says that, “jewellery is something more intimate and personal than trends that come and go... It should become a part of you. It is not just something you just wear.”
The story begins with Maj, Linnéa’s grandmother. Growing up, Maj told Linnea fascinating stories about life, values, and Swedish truths. She brought out a wooden object and said, “This wooden jewellery box was made by your great-great-grandfather by hand more than 130 years ago,” the back of lid was marked ‘Year 1854’.
These memories were the first building blocks of Renaissance Life. Each piece of jewellery is a symbolic piece made with love, and all are named after a different year. Each item has a story to tell in the same way grandmother Maj’s jewellery did.
What Renaissance life does, is that it takes us back in time to the beauty of a hand crafted piece and the unique symolism it represents. As Linnéa Götstav says in her own words, she wanted to, ‘find the spirit that the jewellery was initially made for - to create strength, good memories and make an impact.” It certainly does that.
