Princesse Tam Tam’s first collection of lingerie was revealed to the fashion world in 1985.
It was full of original prints, stunning colours and an innate sense of detail.
Soon to follow was loungwear, swimwear and nightwear ranges.
Season after season, Princesse Tam Tam creates a collection that is “elegance, the spirit of frivolity”.
The label was started by 2 French sisters, Sharma and Loumia Hiridjee. The duo ran the company with the help of Loumia’s husband, Mourad Amarsy, until the couple were killed during the Mumbai terrorist attacks.
The company’s namesake is in tribute to Josephine Baker’s 1935 film, Princesse Tam Tam.
In 2006, the Fast Retailing Group acquired the label.
