Product information

The double A-rated AEG 49332i-MN electric cooker hosts two sizable ovens along with the MaxiSense induction hob encased in an appealing stainless steel exterior.

The extra large 74L capacity main oven has 8 cooking functions, including:

  • Grill for meat and browning foods
  • True fan cooking providing even heat
  • Conventional cooking for fruit cakes and biscuits
  • Fan-controlled defrosting to carefully defrost more delicate foods
  • Ventitherm fan-operated cooking for perfectly cooked food
  • Pizza setting for a crispy base and deliciously finished topping

The fast heat up ensures the oven is ready for use quickly and there is also a useful heat and hold function. Settings are easy to customise with touch controls and an LED display. IsoFront triple glazed doors are glazed with heat reflective coating to keep the heat in the oven at all times.

Any keen cook will also appreciate the extremely responsive induction hob, providing immediate temperature control. You can stop a pan from boiling over instantly without taking it off the hob. High heats are reached quickly and cooling off only takes a matter of seconds.

The hob’s larger cooking area also gives you the space to use larger, specialist pans without covering other heat sources, allowing you to work with several pans at once. This is a godsend for dinner parties where flexible cooking and re-heating options are a must.

Note: Only use pans suitable for induction hobs. These include: enamelled steel, iron, stainless steel (depending on the alloy) and some aluminium pans with a ferromagnetic base. Glass and copper bases are unsuitable.

Q & As

Rated 4 out of 5 by 53 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Think VERY carefully before buying... This is my second AEG cooker, the first one gave sterling service and lasted 18 years in spite of very heavy usage, so I was quite happy to have another AEG cooker. I bought this last May, and had it from mid June. The induction top is wonderful - took a little adjusting, and I needed to buy new pans, but love it. The top oven is ok, but the bottom one - oh dear, what a disaster, the top oven comes on and heats up to 200C+, even if the bottom oven is on 160C fan. Didn't discover this until Christmas as only 2 of us so don't use the bottom oven much. So far over the past nine weeks, I've had three calls to JL, four visits by the local engineer and two lots of electronics replaced, and now I have to phone ANOTHER set of engineers for them to inspect and repair... If your nerves can stand the hassle and the problem in being able to contact the engineers in the first place, then consider this stove. If not, you may wish to consider something else...... 09 March 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by AEG Induction cooker Generally pleased, but the instruction booklet and on line information is minimal. Also perhaps more important to some - and it is not only AEG but I have not seen in the sales blurbs any mention of safety risk and recommendations when using induction if a pacemaker in any sales blurb, only in the general safety use in the cooker user guide which is not seen until after purchased. What's more it is not under safety of children and vulnerable people, but last point on general safety use! I only searched for this after being told by a friend who had heard of this ( no pacemaker) interested in buying a new cooker and considering induction. It is useful for all to know in case visitors have pacemakers, even if the buyer doesn't. The top oven door is so well insulated, that it is difficult to get a deep dish in to put on the lower shelf due to the surround level being low too. However so much cleaner and quicker than gas - would not go back to gas after being reluctant to change. to electric. I do wonder if grills needed in both ovens - so much easier to clean if only one 14 February 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this cooker to bits, but the user manual needs serious attention I'd have rated this as 'Very, Very Good', but didn't have the option. We bought this cooker from JL in November 2013, and I'm in love with it. Having said that, I did post a review just after we bought it: 1) the inadequate terminal for the mains supply on the cooker (it's way too small and of very poor quality) 2) The insulation under the bottom oven isn't fixed properly (it sags - a problem known to AEG); 3) Burrs/sharp edges on the rear chrome trim. but my review doesn't appear anywhere on this site. Hmmm .... We're now 15 months down the road: Another problem, this time down to the rubbish user manual. There's one setting, 'Low Temperature Cooking' which comes up with the duration time set to 10 minutes and the only temperature options 120C or 150C. The duration wasn't settable, so I called a service engineer, who ordered a new oven control module and fitted it today. The 'fault' was still there, so he called his Guru at Service HQ only to find out that it's a frequently reported fault. Turns out it's fine: Low Temperature Cooking operates at 120C or 150C for 10 minutes, then drops the temperature to 80C, at which point the timer can be set. Why isn't this in the user manual? Apart from the little glitches I adore this cooker. It's used at least 3 times a day, the hob is wonderful and the different oven functions make it incredibly versatile. I read out the section on 'Drying' (To dry sliced fruit, eg, apples plums ... ) to our son an'd his response was, "Mum ... that's so middle class!' Yes, I have dried fruit in it (!) All said, we've had this cooker for 15 months, and don't regret buying it, at all. It's really easy to keep immaculately clean. The induction hob is as responsive as a gas hob, and it has a brilliant function, 'Stop and Go', which turns the whole hob down to 'Keep Warm' when the phone rings or the doorbell goes. Let's see if this review gets posted ... ! 09 February 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best cooker we ever had If you are used to using a computer/smartphone/tablet then you will find the use of this very easy. Anyway, there is a good instruction manual. Induction hob - had a halogen ring on a previous cooker, and really missed it on my last cooker. The induction on this cooker beats the halogen hands down. The induction is so responsive, and really controllable. Really like being able to use any cooking area without having to choose the correct size pan for that "ring". Because of the intelligent design of the cooking areas they will deal with a small pan to a large one - making the hob far more flexible. There's a timer on the hob (in addition to the timer for the ovens) - and you can even set it to automatically turn off the cooking area when it sounds. Ovens - there's a handy little control that allows you to flick from one over to the other. So you can set each oven completely independently from the other. I read on one review that you couldn't use both oven together - you can, and I have. The timer can be used as either a minute minder, or a control that switches off the over. This timer is completely separate from the timer from the hob - so gives you lots of flexibility. Both ovens are really well sealed - I think this is the first "top" oven that I have been able to use as if it were a "main" oven. I have also taken up the suggestion in the manual that you can switch the oven off approx. 10 mins before the end of cook time as it will stay up to temperature. It does - they are really well insulated. By last cooker was supposed to have keep cool doors - but they weren't. This cooker does - and I have tried them and they are cool when the oven is on. There are nice little vents on the hob - one for each oven, which allows steam from the oven to escape. Everything is easy to clean, and because there are no knobs it gives a much sleeker and cleaner appearance. I am really impressed with this cooker and am pleased I bought it. 08 February 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by There's a reason they have a longer warranty We've had 2 x AEG cookers. More fool us. Both have had electrical problems after a few weeks. Both have been repaired, both where expensive. I wouldn't buy AEG again as it seems that they build poor quality cookers where the electrics just fail. Looks like price doesn't always mean quality. 05 February 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lovely cooker Really nice cooker, was a bit hard to work out oven controls but have had it now for 3 weeks so getting used to it. The automatic cooker was a bit complicated as the instructions wasn't very clear but worked it out and wrote it down as I was doing it. It will show it's true colour next week when cooking Christmas Dinner for 14 people. Please cooker don't let me down! !!!! Love the cooker!!! 17 December 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic cooker - best ever! This is an absolutely fantastic cooker. I researched carefully and read all the customer reviews so was prepared for one or two problems that could occur with installing and learning to use. So, I bought from John Lewis who I trust, paid to have it installed by them, no problems. In fact then even made a point of advising us to have the mains switch moved to make it safer in case of emergencies. I took other advice from reviewers and down loaded the manual, so first use of it was a doddle. Like others I can't believe how quick it boils water, especially using the Power button. I love the look of it, and it is so easy to keep clean. Best buy ever. Still have lots to try, but so far can't fault it. 16 December 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by We bought this cooker for the induction hob and knob-free controls. We have had this cooker since Easter 2014. If I paid this much money again for a free-standing cooker I would expect: 1. Accurate temps in the ovens. When set to 180 degrees for example it only comes up to about 160. The repair man said to expect 15% variation in temps, but I do NOT agree. 2. Shelves that are flat, not basket shaped. Very difficult to get flat trays in and out. 3. A grill that GRILLS - not bakes from the top. 4. A grill pan small enough to fit in a normal kitchen sink. 5. An over door that is properly sealed. The lower oven door on this cooker leaks heat. 6. If you lift a steamy pan lid and water drips onto the surface, the entire hob surface switches off. That takes some getting used to. 7. A timer that is simple to use. It should be possible to press 'timer', then the exact time. Whoever designed this cooker hasn't done a lot of cooking, I would suspect! Apart from that it looks nice and is easy to clean. 29 January 2015
