AEG 49332i-MN Induction Hob Electric Cooker, Stainless Steel

Special offer

Product information

The double A-rated AEG 49332i-MN electric cooker hosts two sizable ovens along with the MaxiSense induction hob encased in an appealing stainless steel exterior.

The extra large 74L capacity main oven has 8 cooking functions, including:

  • Grill for meat and browning foods
  • True fan cooking providing even heat
  • Conventional cooking for fruit cakes and biscuits
  • Fan-controlled defrosting to carefully defrost more delicate foods
  • Ventitherm fan-operated cooking for perfectly cooked food
  • Pizza setting for a crispy base and deliciously finished topping

The fast heat up ensures the oven is ready for use quickly and there is also a useful heat and hold function. The auto-stop anti-tip chrome shelves enables baking shelves to be pulled out fully, gliding out effortlessly with a smooth rolling action. Settings are easy to customise with touch controls and an LED display. IsoFront triple glazed doors are glazed with heat reflective coating to keep the heat in the oven at all times.

Any keen cook will also appreciate the extremely responsive induction hob, providing immediate temperature control. You can stop a pan from boiling over instantly without taking it off the hob. High heats are reached quickly and cooling off only takes a matter of seconds.

The hob’s larger cooking area also gives you the space to use larger, specialist pans without covering other heat sources, allowing you to work with several pans at once. This is a godsend for dinner parties where flexible cooking and re-heating options are a must.

Note: Only use pans suitable for induction hobs. These include: enamelled steel, iron, stainless steel (depending on the alloy) and some aluminium pans with a ferromagnetic base. Glass and copper bases are unsuitable.

Q & As

AEG 49332i-MN Induction Hob Electric Cooker, Stainless Steel 4 5 39 39
Lovely cooker Really nice cooker, was a bit hard to work out oven controls but have had it now for 3 weeks so getting used to it. The automatic cooker was a bit complicated as the instructions wasn't very clear but worked it out and wrote it down as I was doing it. It will show it's true colour next week when cooking Christmas Dinner for 14 people. Please cooker don't let me down! !!!! Love the cooker!!! 17 December 2014
Fantastic cooker - best ever! This is an absolutely fantastic cooker. I researched carefully and read all the customer reviews so was prepared for one or two problems that could occur with installing and learning to use. So, I bought from John Lewis who I trust, paid to have it installed by them, no problems. In fact then even made a point of advising us to have the mains switch moved to make it safer in case of emergencies. I took other advice from reviewers and down loaded the manual, so first use of it was a doddle. Like others I can't believe how quick it boils water, especially using the Power button. I love the look of it, and it is so easy to keep clean. Best buy ever. Still have lots to try, but so far can't fault it. 16 December 2014
Frustrating but overall good Having had a gas cooker for 40 years, I was slightly apprehensive. Had my new cooker a month now. Still learning how it works and adjusting to it. I'm a graduate but found the manual difficult to understand - not at all user-friendly or helpful. Needs rewriting by someone who knows how to write procedures. Easy to understand the comments of others here who haven't yet worked out how to use the complicated control system. (So frustrated, I tried using AEGs online 'contact us'...twice...still awaiting an answer to either communication after 2wks+. I even looked for a 'blog' in case another owner of this model could help me...but found nothing. So, last wk, I braved the Christmas shopping crowds and drove 40 mins to JL Watford, in a bid to ask the questions I had. JL staff were very helpful and managed to solve a few mysteries. They said they'd get the Electrolux rep to ring me to deal with the rest...that was a week ago and I'm still waiting for that call too, so clearly AEG have absolutely no customer care or service...outrageous when one's paying this much for a product - not at all impressed.) So...induction hob great - v fast to boil and easy to clean, which is just as well as I think it is less controllable than gas - you need dry hands to operate the iPad style controls and I've found I need to decrease power gradually or veg goes from boiling-over to off-the-boil. Instruction manual unclear on operation of various oven settings... I was confused by identical icon for low temp cooking and hot air and had been unable to get oven to go above 150o ...turns out you need to keep scrolling thru' until you arrive at the icon for the 2nd time - thank goodness for the helpful salesmen at JL Watford!!!...but the lack of customer care from AEG leaves me anxious re any other after-sales service I may require. 03 December 2014
AEG 49332i-MN Electric Cooker Nightmare The oven get's so hot that when you open the door there is water all over the floor, alos when cooking on the hob if you use a pot it will cover the air vent for the oven so it then has a pool of water on the hob plate a really bad design, and finaly after purchasing my cooker in July not even 4 months on the oven has stopped working completely I called John Lewis today Sunday and they told me that I will have to call the company myself on Monday to organize a repair if possible and if they can come out to me at all so I will not be cooking my Sunday dinner today. When I bought this product there wasn't many bad review's now there is a lot more. 23 November 2014
I like this cooker. The first cooker that was delivered had a problem with the cooling fan but John Lewis quickly replaced it with another one. This didn't put me off. I love the induction hob which heats quickly and is very responsive. The touch controls I think are great. You get used to them very quickly and gives this cooker a modern look and feel. The ovens are also good. I do a lot of baking and I'm pleased with the results. I also bought a set of Tefal Ingenious induction pans - you need pans that are compatible - and I would also recommend these. I am very happy with this cooker. It looks great in my kitchen. 26 October 2014
Over complicated and badly designed I don't just dislike this product, I hate it. Our old cooker had two ovens and four hobs and you just twisted the corresponding knob to the setting you wanted. Oh the joy of it's simplicity! Everything on this thing is more complicated than that. There's the added complication that the up and down symbols have different functions on the hob from the ovens. Then the symbol for low temperature cooking is the same as that of another function. Setting an oven temperature temperature of say 55c, for warming plates, involves scrolling between ovens, then scrolling between all it's functions, then scrolling down from 200c to about 80c where it jumps to 30c and you then have to scroll back up again. It's awful. Plus if any water gets spilled on the symbols it goes into overload and dies. I could go on, but last of all, it doesn't respond to my fingers. When I try to turn on a hob, it beeps (which it does far too often anyway) in recognition of my attempt and then just sits there. So I have to start the whole procedure again. Hopeless. 14 October 2014
Broken Cooker delivered broken, returned and replaced with another model 28 August 2014
Impressed Despite a very stressful delivery by John Lewis the oven eventually arrived at 7pm and we had it up and running before 8pm. Cooked a whole meal using the basic guide book and it's as easy to navigate as the IPad I am using to place this review. I have learned to Multitask, using the Hob, the Grill and the main oven and feel that I will grow to love this appliance. Having moved from a cooker with Halogen zones for the hob, this induction cooker is faster by a mile and far more controllable. Very impressed and looking for recipes I can create using the Hob at the moment. :-) well done AEG. 24 August 2014
