AEG 49332i-MN Induction Hob Electric Cooker, Stainless Steel

Special offer

Product information

The double A-rated AEG 49332i-MN electric cooker hosts two sizable ovens along with the MaxiSense induction hob encased in an appealing stainless steel exterior.

The extra large 74L capacity main oven has 8 cooking functions, including:

  • Grill for meat and browning foods
  • True fan cooking providing even heat
  • Conventional cooking for fruit cakes and biscuits
  • Fan-controlled defrosting to carefully defrost more delicate foods
  • Ventitherm fan-operated cooking for perfectly cooked food
  • Pizza setting for a crispy base and deliciously finished topping

The fast heat up ensures the oven is ready for use quickly and there is also a useful heat and hold function. The auto-stop anti-tip chrome shelves enables baking shelves to be pulled out fully, gliding out effortlessly with a smooth rolling action. Settings are easy to customise with touch controls and an LED display. IsoFront triple glazed doors are glazed with heat reflective coating to keep the heat in the oven at all times.

Any keen cook will also appreciate the extremely responsive induction hob, providing immediate temperature control. You can stop a pan from boiling over instantly without taking it off the hob. High heats are reached quickly and cooling off only takes a matter of seconds.

The hob’s larger cooking area also gives you the space to use larger, specialist pans without covering other heat sources, allowing you to work with several pans at once. This is a godsend for dinner parties where flexible cooking and re-heating options are a must.

Note: Only use pans suitable for induction hobs. These include: enamelled steel, iron, stainless steel (depending on the alloy) and some aluminium pans with a ferromagnetic base. Glass and copper bases are unsuitable.

Q & As

AEG 49332i-MN Induction Hob Electric Cooker, Stainless Steel 4.3 5 30 30
Almost perfect Hob is very fast. This type was recommended by my son who is a Michelin star Chef. Main oven very good. The big problem that we have is that the grill pan distorts with the heat and then will not come out very easily. It needs to be made of a thicker gauge material. I have considered making my own from solid stainless steel. 06 August 2014
Brilliant but .... This is my fourth AEG free standing cooker and although I love it, it has one or two irritants. Firstly whose bright idea was it to change the shelves! They are no longer flat, they have a 'lip'. Delia smiths idea of sliding a full quiche into the oven is impossible. As is trying to turn round baking trays as you have to lift from underneath, through the bars to be able to hold the trays. If I could change them, I would. Also the ovens internally are wider, nice but none of my other AEG shelves or roasting trays sit in the runners. And on the subject of size, how many people want such a huge grill pan, thank goodness I kept my old one. The hob is fantastic and the £100 cash back I got with the cooker allowed me to buy a John lewis saucepan set suitable for induction hobs! It is true you cannot cook on two 'plates' on the same side on P at the same time but hey they are so quick. After all that, it is a brilliant cooker and it looks good. 19 June 2014
AEG Induction Cooker Excellent cooker. We have had this cooker for a month now and are really pleased with the look and it's effectiveness. Pans boil very quickly and the first roast was excellent. Perfect cakes. I have yet to find any negative points. 12 June 2014
expensive scrap metal Cannot rate this product as it simply did not work when we received it. Basically we have an expensive piece of scrap metal in our kitchen waiting to be returned. 27 May 2014
Super efficient We are very pleased with our new cooker. It looks very good. The induction hob is super fast but also offers excellent control, just like using gas as it responds immediately and makes cooking on the hob really easy. The controls for the oven are not straightforward, with a bit of perseverance we are okay with them now but by experimentation rather than the guide to the cooker which was not clear. Nevertheless we are please with the product and feel it justified the price. 23 May 2014
Fantastic cooker Just bought this cooker and am absolutely thrilled with it. It has so many functions, I particularly like the timer on all the hob rings and the automatic timer function too. I love the instant response when you turn the rings up or down. Both the ovens too are very quick to heat up and there are so many different ways you can use them and so versatile. i find new things about it almost every day. A real pleasure to cook on this fabulous cooker. It looks great too. 13 May 2014
Great, so far! We wandered into John Lewis to see this cooker after clocking it as the Best Buy in Which? Magazine. When we arrived in store we were confronted by three induction models next to each other which were all obviously the same item but 'badge engineered'. One was a John Lewis model, one an Electrolux and the last one was the AEG. Although cosmetically slightly different they were all basically the same model. We chose the AEG because the 5 yr guarantee and £100 cash back deal that is currently on meant it was round the same price as the JL model if you bought the extra 3 yr guarantee from them. it was delivered 3 days ago with typical JL efficiency, and we got to grips with using it immediately. The first thing I would say is don't take too much notice of other reviews that moan about the fact that the instructions are not clear. I would agree, but the operation is so intuitive that it doesn't matter. If you are used to operating a PVR, smartphone or iPad then it is as easy as falling off a log. I can operate only one of the above and I found it easy! Some other moans that I have read in the reviews such as 'you can only operate one oven at a time' need some explanation. You can obviously use two ovens at once, but as there is only one oven display you have to switch between them. The induction hob is a revelation after having being used to a ceramic hob before. The instant heat control is awesome, and I would argue that it is possibly better than gas. Just make sure that your pots and pans are induction compatible - we used a fridge magnet to test all of ours - and you are 'good to go'. The ovens heat up extremely fast and are so well insulated that they stay hot for ages when you have switched them off! They bake extremely evenly, and the temperature control is very accurate. We have still to use most of the features but are very impressed so far. A great investment, and the best cooker we have ever used. Recommended. 03 May 2014
nothing but trouble First cooker from John Lewis kept tripping the whole house. Second cooker required 3 visits from AEG service engineer. The fan made a terrible noise, the main over wouldn't heat up finally the whole circuit board had to be replaced 26 February 2014
