With an enormous 9kg wash and generous 7kg drying capacity, the AEG L87695WD washer dryer is a versatile and intelligent unit with a host of useful features.

This machine contains a powerful inverter motor, for enhanced washing. This brushless constructed motor is not only designed to be more durable but also provides a superior performance versus standard motors.

All AEG machines have an 8 minute Biowash phase; this precedes the main wash and ensures that the enzymes in the detergent are released at a temperature not exceeding 40ºC for optimum stain and soiling removal.

You can adjust the spin speed up to 1600rpm, or select no spin, while the time saver setting enables you to speed up the cycle. A quick wash cycle allows you to wash 3kg of clothes in just 20 minutes, with a fast drying cycle that tackles 1kg of clothes in just 59 minutes; ideal when you need that outfit clean in a hurry!

The dryer element includes reverse tumble and final cool cycles, with a sequence indicator to keep you updated, as well as an audible end of programme signal.

All materials used in AEG machines are biodegradable or recyclable and have five layers on the cabinet finish, ensuring that even if the case is scratched, it will not rust.

Happy customer This is my first washer / dryer machine having just bought our first house, I find it so easy to use, the delay start function has been so useful as for a full load of cotton wash with the drying programme to run concurrently can take between 7 - 8 hours. (This is for a 9kg wash) it also has a self clean programme which is great especially when I washed a wool mattress protector which shed some loose bits during its first wash. When it's at full spin, it can make a loud whirring noise but its nothing unreasonable or too intrusive and it certainly wouldn't wake me up in the night. You can set it for a 3kg or less wash and the washing time for this is far more reasonable using less energy along the way. The only quibble I have is the vent to release excess water. You unscrew a cap which is hidden neatly behind a hinged panel at the bottom of the machine. Because of this, it is so close to the floor that it is really difficult to get a container underneath to capture the water and can mean a wet floor. It looks like a good, quality product with the chrome detailing around the controls. i love the electronic display and I'm reassured that we have a 5 year guarantee. I'm glad we were able to spend that little bit extra. 26 December 2012

Brilliantly simply Sturdy, efficient, easy to use and so very quiet which I was not expecting. The choice of programmes covers everything imaginable and the added extra rinse option is a boon to ensure all the soap is removed from a wash. The drying cycle seems perfect but I have only used it once in the 7 days I have had the machine. The auto sensors for wash weight and drying have really impressed me too as they automatically cut down on the time the machine is in use. I can't fault this machine and am very glad that I spent a little extra to purchase this model. 02 December 2012

Very impressive machine! I bought this to replace my 9 year old LG washer-dryer. I was hard pushed to leave LG but I wanted the fastest spin speed possible (LG's fastest is 1400 and my outgoing machine was 1200). This is because I wanted to have washing drying in the spare room for the shortest possible time in the winter months. Yes it's expensive but you really do get what you pay for, the machine has a quality feel to it, is almost silent when washing (even full 9kg loads), relatively quiet and very smooth when spinning and has lots of wash options. The 1600 spin has shortened the time I have to dry washing for considerably too. The drying performance has also been a pleasant surprise. Sensible loads (not small) have so far never taken much more than 1 and a half hours to cupboard dry. I would highly recommend this washer dryer to all. 01 December 2012

As I thought It si very nice, The washer is really nice. I had my old AEG taken away after 24 years of use, it was still OK but I wanted to get more up to date. The delivery and fitting was all efficiently done and I am pleased. 13 October 2012
