Lavazza A Modo Mio Favola & Milk Coffee Machine by AEG
I already have a nespresso machine and had only gone into the Southampton store to get some more capsules........ I was convinced by the lady (Maria?) to try a coffee from this machine. Wow, excellent coffee and the real difference is the milk frother. I made a coffee for my friend when I got the machine home and they went and bought one the next day it was that good. Thanks Maria for making me try one ! Bett than Starbucks at a fraction of the cost.

Best Coffee Machine Ever!
This coffee machine is multi talented! Makes lattes, cappuccinos, lungos , espressos, coffee cocktails and even iced coffee. The coffee capsules are easily available and taste fabulous. Worth investing a bit more on this model as it is so versatile, easy to clean and really makes the BEST coffee!! The iced coffee is gorgeous, will be making lots of those in the summer.

Coffee Lovers unite!
This machine is fantastic! I bought it for my partner for Christmas but we both Love it. We don't drink any other make of coffee which is why we chose this machine. It is compact, easy to use and makes perfect coffee every time. We are 100% satisfied!

Taking a lot of time to review an assess coffee machines was well worth the effort. I was reluctant at the start to consider 'pod' machines but the write ups for all the bean/ground coffee machines was so poor that I chose this machine. It is very easy to use and set up. The frother is just excellent and it does make great coffee. They sell the pods at my local Waitrose so I should not be struggling for supplies. It is small enough to be on the kitchen work surface and doesn't seem to leak. I am still learning, no idea what is the difference between the coloured pods, but happy so far.

Perfect coffee, minimal fuss
We set off to buy a traditional expresso coffee machine from John Lewis as (i) not fans of the Nescafe options and (ii) wanted flexibility on choice of coffee. The down side (based on the machine we were replacing) is that they can be a bit messy and to be honest never quite made coffee as good as a good coffee shop.
We were swayed by a Lavazza rep in John Lewis in Southampton (and a chance to try the coffee from the machine in store) to go for this model. I have to say we are now converts. The range of coffee is extensive, The coffee pods are good value (better than Nescafe) and the coffee produced is just the right temperature. It is easy to adjust the amount of water pushed through (I like ristretto), and the milk brother works very well indeed!
The results - as good a cup of coffee as I have had in any coffee shop. I have had better, in Italy and in top restaurants :-)
The light that illuminates the cup area was a nice surprise (missed this under the store's bright lights). The machine is easy to clean.
My only critique - in agreement with one of the other reviewers - is that I can imagine the tank lugs breaking off sometime soon - a bit fiddly.

This coffee maker is very stylish in red and makes a latte equally as good as any I have purchased in a coffee shop, the automatic milk frother is a brilliant idea. Cerris who demonstrated this in John Lewis Solihull really sold this coffee maker to us and at an excellent price!

Excited to get started with new coffee machine
My Lavazza/AEG coffee machine has just been delivered and can't wait to have my first latte. Will comment soon on quality/experience of machine but must say was very impressed with Nadia who was demonstrating how the machine worked in John Lewis Edinburgh. It was her simple but informative demonstration that sold it for me. Thank you Nadia.

Fantastic coffee but machine flawed
Lavazza pod coffee really is the best in my experience. I have used Nespresso extensively, and tried all the others, and Lavazza is so much better. I have the original Saeco machine in my kitchen, and I just bought this AEG model for my office. Both make perfect espresso.
The clever milk frother (that steams AND whizzes the milk) makes superb froth!
There is LED lighting, illuminating your cup while the coffee is brewing. This looks really classy!
However, the AEG machine does have a couple of design flaws. The water container is held in place by two tiny bits of plastic, and one broke off my machine on day one. Also the side panel that hides the milk frother connector is lose, and falls off. The metal lever has to be held tightly while you open it, or it will flip open with a loud bang and make you jump. All my family found out the hard way :-)
If they just got the design perfected, this would be a great machine.
