Amalfi Wall Light
just what we wanted
After a great deal of research, friends suggested this light. We ordered three, they were delivered quickly and installed without any problem.. We took good note of comments that they are fragile but did not experience any difficulty. Use a cranked screwdriver and do not over tighten

Recently purchased 4 Amalfi wall lights and they look stunning. Had electrician up the wall when fitting them. Terrified he would break one. Thankfully he didn't. Care does need to be taken when fitting but so worth it.

Great looking light
We are very pleased with how these lights look on the wall. We originally chose "John Lewis Bok Wall Light" since we thought it looked better in the pictures on the website, but fortunately my wife went to a store to see them in real life and realised that this one looks much better.
The only problem with these lights is that they are extremely fragile. One of the four we bought arrived broken, and another broke while the electrician was (extremely carefully) fitting it to the wall. Fortunately, John Lewis's service was second to none as usual and replacements were sent out by next day delivery.

A beautiful light
We chose this light fitting for under our stairs - and ordered it on line - collecting it at waitrose. We had an electrician to fit it & he said there were no problems.
It looks so lovely and we are delighted with it.

Classy and different.
I purchased 3 of these lights. 2 for new conservatory and 1 for curve on staicase. House has a hint of Deco so these lights fit very well. Bulbs can't be viewed from underneath which makes a nice change .Light is quite muted and understated. I love them. Electrician did 'moan' a bit that they are quite fragile, but he managed to get them all up without any accidents. I'd like to find a similar/matching design for table lamps in the conservatory

We' ve bought a couple of these for our house in Italy. We struggled to find the right looking wall lights until we found these. They are simple but look stunning in the right setting. They don't give strong light, it's fairly muted so bear that in mind.

Stylish lamp, lovely soft light but exceptionally fragile
This is a very stylish wall lamp and it gives a lovely warm, soft light but it is exceptionally fragile. I was anxious about damaging it when screwing in the lightbulb and someone heavy-handed (or tenants who don't care) might not be so careful. It was difficult to fit without causing some deterioration of the fixing. If I were John Lewis I would talk to the manufacturer about strengthening the product, particularly the screw holes, as it is a very good looking wall lamp. I've put two in my sitting room and would buy it for other rooms but you do have to take great care when fixing it.

Attractive with a soft spread of light
My husband fitted two of these wall lights in our newly extended kitchen/family room and I am delighted with the lovely soft spread of light they give out from above and below.
Having read previous reviews I pre-warned him that they were a bit delicate so he took extra care with handling but said that they were no trouble. To make sure they were fitted snug against the wall he slightly packed out the top end before tightening the screws and this had the effect of easing the top out and pushing the bottom in. He then used decorators caulk around the edge of the lights to hide any gaps. This also secured the lights in place.
The only downside is if your walls are not smooth as they show every lump and bump. My husband has spent a lot of time sanding our walls (admittedly he is a bit of a perfectionist) and they now look great but unfortunately I don't think he will agree to do this throughout our bungalow. If you have newly plastered or smooth walls or don't mind seeing a few lumps and bumps then no problem as I am sure you will love these wall lights as they are really attractive. If it wasn't for our non-smooth walls I would have them in lots of rooms. I hope this review has been of some help.
