Well designed and easy to assemble if you follow the instructions. The quality of the veneer is not that good in some areas, especially around the sides of the unit and on the edges of the uprights so a little disappointed with the finish. Overall though a nice looking unit with plenty of space and the doors help to keep some of the dust off the AV components.

Found this piece of furniture on the John Lewis website. Bought it without seeing it in the store as they only sell good quality furniture! Not disappointed, it is a real classy piece and we're very happy with it.
It was fairly easy to build, we just had one hiccup when we had a piece upside down but it was easily fixed!
I am an obsessive cleaner and the shiny black glass top does show the dust but nobody's looking (they tell me!).
Would definitely recommend and wish there were more pieces to match.

Got this recently in walnut, I was a bit dubious about being flat packed but I needn't have worried, good quality, sturdy and goes together nicely, took me on my own about an hour and a half, no issues with remote signal working through glass doors as mentioned in another review. The fiddliest bit was probably the glass doors but with a little patience these went on dead level. I'd definitely recommend this product to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Darenh Great piece of furniture
Had this in gloss white for over a year now and it is a really well built piece of furniture. Solid, finish is still spot on and an example of how to build something properly. It looks great and i love it.

Overall this is a good, stylish, well built product but be careful when putting it together.
Having read reviews elsewhere I was aware the doors could be tricky - they were. There is no adjustment in the door hinges to align the doors squarely with the front of the stand. The only adjustment is in the actual frame stand itself. Therefore you need to make sure you do NOT tighten up all the screws of the frame until everything is in place and aligned. I failed to do this and ended up loosening joints to try and create some room for adjustment. I got close but one door isn't completely true.
The unit does look good (I know this is a personal thing) but as it is gloss black, it does attract dust. Also, whilst the doors do allow for remote controls still to be used on equipment stored behind them, I experienced a definite lack of responsiveness from my Freesat box when placed inside the lower section. Yes, it does work, but I have to be slow and deliberate when pressing buttons on the remote. So much so that I am considering an infrared extender as it gets a little frustrating when trying to zip through menu screens and nothing happens.
One minor groan. The doors hinges come with small white plastic plugs in which the door hinges sit. Not overly obvious (you can see them if you look) but why not black ones? Given the quality of the rest of the components, I was surprised at this. So much so I thought it might be a mistake until I checked the Walnut version in store which also had white plugs. Mmmm.

I bought this after Christmas. Initially I was a bit concerned as it seemed a lot for flatpack, but I'm really happy I paid extra now.
The walnut looks great and it feels really solid once it's been assembled.
