The product comes with a number of spacers which allow the bracket to stand away from the TV, useful for routing cables. For my model of TV I had to drill a hole in the plate in order to route an optical cable into my TV, but even with the hole in the plate, the TV is still held secure. It does mean I cannot fold the bracket flat, but this is an issue with the TV, not the bracket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by philbjh quality sturdy bracket
Very well made and worth the money - a couple of tips though - some mentioned it was stiff to move in and out - easily solved by slightly loosening the 4 pivot spindle nuts at the back. when fitting to the wall the best way is to mark one of the top holes then first drill wall with a 5mm drill then a 12mm drill, (best to do this to help prevent drill wander as it goes through the plaster -plug it and screw the bracket up tight ( it is really best to do this with a box spanner or socket set) level the bracket on the wall and use the 5mm drill again directly through the bracket holes to the full depth, remove the bracket and re-drill the 5mm holes to 12mm - re plug and refit all 4 bolts - tighten with spanner.
Only issue is that the cable ties supplied to manage the cables under the bracket are too large and will not fit through the slots

It took us a while to put the unit together and it certainly needs two people to attach the Television on the the wall bracket.
To move the TV, to view at different angles can be frustrating as the bracket seems quite stiff. However it is very sturdy and we have peace of mind that the 55inch TV is safe. Overall we are pleased with our purchase.

Very good product. Would highly recommend. It works a treat and allows you to change your view very easily. Quite easy to put together. However instructions could be made clearer for a lay person like me, by making the instructions for stud walls and brick walls seperate. No wall plugs are needed for stud wall if screwing into wood (screw straight into the wood) but needed for the other. I had to ring up as instruction book not clear with diagrams. A simply sentence in the instruction manual could have solved this problem. However I like it very much and intend to buy another.

The AVF wall mounting bracket is a first-class product. When you spend lots of money on your new Smart TV do not cut corners in how you mount it.
Well made, solid construction, the bracket moves well to suit the viewing angles we wanted perfectly.
Mounting instructions and tools made the installation straight-forward.
Well done AVF!

Rated 1 out of 5 by JT06 Sturdy but poor quality spot welding
Purchased this wall bracket , but disappointed that on assembly one of the thread bolt fittings sheered when tightened. Poor spot welding quality.
Returned to John Lewis Kingston, although no issue, needed to stand in technical (electronics) queue as part of that department, to receive a receipt for exchange, to then find store has no stock of this wall bracket.
