With the Zeppelin Air, renowned speaker manufacturer Bowers and Wilkins have taken the sleek and curvaceous award-winning Zeppelin iPod speaker system, added the latest cutting-edge audio technology and a subtly improved stunning design, to create something very special.

Providing another seismic shift in audio performance, the Zeppelin Air has re-written the rules for iPod speaker docks. Maintaining its distinctive shape, the Zeppelin Air has been completely redesigned and re-mastered. Compared to its predecessor, the Zeppelin Air will deliver you improved dynamics, punchier bass and a more open, lifelike presentation with highly detailed, room-filling sound.

Apple’s AirPlay technology will allow you to wirelessly stream music directly from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or even your Laptop or PC, directly to your Zeppelin Air. Imagine being able to select and listen to any track from your entire music collection, instantly, and in pristine quality. It also uses Apple Lossless for a faultless music transfer.

If you have more than one Zeppelin Air, you can either choose an individual device to play your music on, or select every Zeppelin Air in your house, filling your home with pristine sound in party mode. It’s not just your music collection that the Zeppelin Air will wow you with. It’ll stream music from many games you play, providing you with a more immersive gaming experience as well as web streaming sites such as Last FM, Spotify and YouTube, which will all benefit from the clearer, superior sound provision the Zeppelin Air delivers.

Zeppelin Air’s bass output can be adjusted via your iPod or iPhone so you can optimize the sound to suit your surroundings. You can vary the bass level according to the amount of space around the speaker, giving you refined sounds, even in confined spaces. Its fully active 2.1 design means that all five units are individually driven by audiophile class D amplifiers, and advanced Digital Signal Processing has dramatically improved the bass performance compared to the Zeppelin. The Digital to Analogue Converters have also been upgraded, with new 24bit/96KHz capabilities.

A 3.5mm analogue mini jack and an optical digital input (TOSlink) are also featured, so almost any digital music device or portable music player can benefit from the Zeppelin Air’s warmly detailed sound (linking cables not included).

Do not doubt 50 years of British innovation If you're in any doubt about whether to buy the B&W Zeppelin consider the 50 years of innovation and research carried out by Bowers & Wilkins by looking at their website - their loudspeaker products are used in most of the recording studios around the world. And they're British. The Zeppelin contains technology derived from those world class products. The quality of the sound produced by the Zeppelin is astonishing for such a small device. As a hi-fi enthusiast I have enjoyed B&W loudspeakers since the early 1980s and can honestly say the Zeppelin without any doubt has no equal for the price. You won't be disappointed. Fantastic product Can't believe i have a B&W ZEPPELIN, i have heard loads of different ipod speakers, there are some really good ones and some really bad ones, this one the B&W Zeppelin Air is amazing, and the air play is brilliant, i would suggest one thing is to buy a Zeppelin stand, it makes a real difference, but that a side the level of service from John Lewis is second to none, yes its a lot of money but it really is worth it, you won't want anything else once you have heard it, so what you waiting for "GET ONE", happy listening. 08 February 2013
Can't believe I've got one Ordered this item online, whole process was easy. Item delivered quickly very well packaged. The Zeppelin is quite simply brilliant, it looks great. sounds great and Airplay is brilliant. setup could be easier but go there in the end. All in All a very happy bunny!! 05 January 2013
B&W Zeppelin Oh. My. Word! What an amazing piece of kit this is! We have a very good CD stereo and I bought this for my partner for Christmas because I knew he had coveted it for about a year. I'm so glad I did. Firstly his over-joyed reaction when he unwrapped it was just delightful. Then, when he had set it all up, the sound is utterly brilliant: sharp; precise; all encompassing. It doesn't lose sound quality, no matter where you place yourself in relation to this little beastie. It has made our 'very good CD stereo' a tad redundant, but we don't mind. If you love your music, you really should have this. It will make you very happy. :-) 04 January 2013

Fantastic system Having compared a number of sound systems this was my final choice for a 50th Birthday gift. Its sound quality is Superb and it's sleek modern looks makes it blend in like a piece of art. Just make sure the wifi signal is strong enough to reach all corners of the house or you could experience slight interruption in play. Very quick delivery from point of order. 28 December 2012
