On our third time we used this product one of the side struts that needs to lock into place to make the cot hold it's shape has failed. What was worse was that after 25 mins of trying to get this product to lock, the faulty side seemed to lock but when our 21 month old child leant against it the side arm unlocked and went limp making him jump and cry. Will be returned for a refund.

We bought this to keep up at the grandparents house for when we visit. We bought an additional mattress as the one provided is really thin - so this might be a problem if we were to use it elsewhere. The cot folds up really small and was easy to put up [unlike other travel cots we have used] We have only used it once but our 6month old daughter slept better than she ever does at home!

Bought one 3 years ago which has just broken (The pull up tag snapped) so decided to replace with another as liked the fact it is nice and big. One point to mention however is there is no storage pouch on the model I received and the bag has no babydan logo on it so descriptions could do with updating. Lock does seem stronger than before however and its much easier to assemble and dismantle so all in all we are happy.

Good travel cot, 6 month old settled in it very easily. However, pleased I purchased the mattress enhancer as mattress supplied is like cardboard.

So easy to erect and pack away - the only slight niggle is the padded board referred to as a mattress - its not a mattress. If it was a mattress the portability (due to packed size) would be lost. But overall it is a well-designed and sturdy cot and well worth 5 stars.

very nice cot - couldn't figure out initially how to put it up, but <eventually> it worked. Fine once you know! What I do find continues to be difficult is that the board the baby is to sleep on is very hard indeed - you really need another lightweight mattress to go on top of this inner sleep board, which rather adds to the things you need to take with you when staying somewhere else overnight.

I bought a BabyDan travel cot for my first grandchild 11 years ago. She finally learned how to climb out of it at age 4! Her 2 year old brother uses it now, as will her new baby brother expected this Christmas. Their other grandparents have just bought, yes, another BabyDan! The instructions for this cot are printed inside on the base and are very easy to follow. It's a great occasional play pen too. Perfectly safe as it locks under the mattress base where little fingers can't reach. I have never needed another travel cot. I checked out all of them and BabyDan will always be the one for this family!

As we were driving to our flat in Spain we bought this cot to take for our grandchildren. This summer it was used for the first time. Our son and his wife struggled to put it up; the instructions were completely inadequate. Suddenly, as if by luck, they managed to do it, but since they did not know how they had put it up, when they came to leave, they couldn't put it down. During their attempts one of the bars snapped and that was the end of that. Since they were travelling by air they could not bring it back so it went in the local bin, having been used for just ten nights. It is a dreadful design and if it has to be so difficult to use, at least provide proper instructions. I would NOT recommend this product as travel cots should above all, be easy and quick to use. It is also very heavy..
