Bialetti Moka Express Hob Espresso Maker, 3 Cup 4.3 5 3 3
I was forced into reviewing this by my beautiful girlfriend, but I love it This espresso maker is one part of my coffee-themed Christmas extravaganza. Now, I love Christmas - and I LOVE coffee - but this was a treat. The specularly (specularly, not spectacularly) reflective nature of the shiny material meant that I was wowed straight away. Not only do I have an unfailing love of coffee, I now have the most amount of love a man can muster for an espresso maker. An express espresso maker nonetheless. To be honest with you, I hadn't a clue how to work the thing when I first saw it. "Oh my goodness, LOOK AT THIS" I cried as I read the instructions. I literally cried; tears fled my eyes like enemies of Liam Neeson in Taken. It was a work of art! I could just put some water in, chuck it on the hob and I had water boiling. Of course, I had to put some coffee in and the water would boil and filter through the coffee. HUZZAH! The water vapour, with coffee lovingly entwined, reached the top compartment. I awaited the final result with mouthwatering intensity. "HZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ" I hear the espresso maker go. At this stage, water boiled through the gaps and spilt all over my hob; hence four stars. Anyway, I feel I've approached my limit of eloquency and will end here. BUY IT! 14 January 2014
Love it After staying with a friend for a few weeks and saw that they had this kind of coffee maker I've always wanted one since. I find it very easy to use and no problem to wash at all since it recommends to wash with plain water. I've had it for over 10 days and have used it every day. I also love how it takes up no space on the work top. 13 March 2013
Not that easy! This Espresso Maker works perfectly well but you end up witha tiny amount of very strong coffee - obviously- but I found the need to add hot water to the finished spoonful in my cup as so strong. Have tried a milder coffee ground which helped . Also you need a metal dispersion ring to go under it and on your heat source, but it only takes a few minutes for the coffee to be ready. However, its all a bit of a faff and a lot of washing up so most days go back to jolly instant coffee in the morning and have done with it. 23 November 2011
