Bosch BGS52200GB Carpet Cylinder Cleaner, Black Excellent, strong but so quiet and excellent on my wood, stone and carpeted floors. A greeat buy. 13 January 2013

Great vacuum on the whole Extremely powerful vacuum, large waste container, no apparent loss in suction, easily picks up pet hair. However I found the following to be minor gripes 1. hose not long enough 2. the retractable cable doesn't work as smoothly as it should 3. really needs a swivel joint at the point where the hose meets the vacuum 4. the accessories clip attachment has a habit of being knocked off when bumping into furniture 5. the lid to the waste container could use a prop rod when removing the waste 6. storage solution could be better/neater 7. the metal part of the hose gives me a sharp static shock when cleaning certain carpets - i.e. synthetic fibres 8. the unit could be a bit lighter in weight. I also have a 1800w Morphy Richards bagged cleaner which has been designed a better in respect to the above. Overall I am happy with the product but a bit disappointed with the design element considering that it is a Bosch. 10 January 2013

Bosch BGS52200 Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner Initailly when unpacked, it looks a tad unwieldy. Once powered-up it sounds like a jet liner on the end of the runway an almost turbo-engine sound is emitted, this is not overly loud and sounds very impressive. The hose is larger in diameter to other machines I have used but is not a problem in usage. Emptying the waste container is easy. 18 November 2012

Quiet and stylish This is much quieter that our previous vacuum cleaner. The only criticism we have is that the handle is not extendable, and so one has to lean forward more if one is average or above average height. Very stylish and appears to do its job well. 10 November 2012

Great bagless cleaner I really like my new vaccum cleaner. It works very well, is strong enough, manoevers very good and that it does not need any bags is a huge PLUS to my previous one. The empting is absolutely easy. The one star off is for the cable having to be pulled out all the way to get it back in, that is a bit of a fiddle. I still would recommend this cleaner very much. 02 November 2012

Good product I collected my first Bosch BGS52200GB Carpet Cylinder Cleaner from the John Lewis pop up store in Exeter and had excellent service. Got home plugged it in and started to vacuum and black smoke billowed out the back of the machine accompanied by a strong smell of burning. I turned it off immediately. I called John Lewis customer service center who arranged a replacment within two days and I am happy to say this one works perfectly. Great suction, easy to empty and no more bags. What a relief 27 October 2012

Brilliant! Quite a powerful little vacuum, really impressed with the performance and very quiet too. Also love that it's easy to empty. Extra tool storage is not so good though, but overall really like it. 25 October 2012
