The striking Lily ergonomic chair is fully upholstered, and filled with moulded CMHR foam for maximum comfort.

The generously-proportioned seat features a waterfall edge, which promotes good circulation and prevents heaviness and tiredness in the legs.

You can also adjust the tension for flexibility or rigidity, the armrests, and the seat height, so you can maintain a healthy posture all day.

The user guide is usefully tucked away in a slot under the left-hand side of the seat.

Average Chair I purcahsed this chair to replace an old rickety chair that I was using in my study. One of the positives for this chair is that it comes ready made; however, the chair I have received does not feel as well made as chairs I use at my office each day. Indeed, the back wobbles quite a bit (this may be part of the design, however, having no user guide (see below) I cannot comment). The description for the chair on the website says 'The user guide is usefully tucked away in a slot under the left-hand side of the seat.' My chair has no such user guide. It is very difficult, therefore, to work out what the appropriate settings should be. Finally, as this chair is delived from the suppliers, I found the delivery service wholly below the standard usually expected for John Lewis. I was telephoned on a Wednesday at 3pm to say the product would be delivered the next day. This was inconvenient for me but I was told the supplier could only deliver the product on a Thursday (to my area) and could not specify whether the delivery would be morning or afternoon. Having arranged for someone to take delivery I was eventually telephoned at 3:15pm the following day to say the delivery would be made between 4pm and 5pm. Why I could not have been told this any earlier I do not know. Overall, a less than happy experience. 22 April 2013

Stylish comfort Amazing chair. Practical, stylish, comfortable and solid. So superior to anything I've had before. Not the cheapest of chairs but definitely worth the extra money. Would recommend to anyone looking for this type of chair. 09 November 2012

Up to expectations This is a pricey chair, but quality comes at a price. The firmness of the padding is most satisfying and the controls work well. Lower back support is just right. The arm rests are also slightly springy on the top but still very firm. The arm rests can be raised or lowered in small steps so can be adjusted to give elbow support and avoid RSI. 24 May 2012

Perfect Chair This chair arrived in one piece, which is great start. I love the varies adjustment including being able to lower the arm so the chair can be pushed under the desk when to in use. My wife did not won't a large black chair dominating the room so we are both pleased with the colour and size of this chair. I spend a lot of time in this chair editing photography and must say even after many hours its still very comfortable. Be prepared for a wait after ordering, The John Lewis site will suggest that the chair has been dispatched, however this is not the case, it just means the order has been received by the manufacturer. I had to wait a couple of weeks for mine but as long as you realise there will be a waiting time its not so bad. 12 May 2012

24/7 Chair The room in which I have a desk is relatively small, thus, I needed a chair that whilst stylish could not be too bulky and out of proportion to its surroundings. This Boss chair fits the bill perfectly and its so comfortable. No more excuses to put off dealing with the correspondence!!! 01 March 2012

worth the wait These chairs are made on request, so there's a delay of a couple of weeks but it's worth it. I'd been finding it difficult to find anything between the ridiculously expensive 'executive' chairs and the very cheap ones that don't do your back any good for my home office but this is it: comfortable, supportive and much nicer looking in a home enrivonment than one of those big black 'look at me' chairs.
