Q & As

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Electronic Meter Lasts less Nice design. Good JL service. But meter died within a year. Without that its useless. I agree with other users who complained about this. 15 September 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great in a very hard water area We live in an area with very hard water and need to descale the kettle every few weeks. Since purchasing the filter jug and using it to fill the kettle, it shows no sign of needing to be descaled after 4 weeks which is well beyond normal. I am also using the filtered water in my Bean to Cup coffee machine and as a result have changed the hard water setting level and hence should need to descale that less often as well. 29 May 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very satisfied with product Water for drinking very much improved by the Brita jug. Seems clear and limescale free. Jug is easy and convenient to use. 05 May 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Battery has died completely within a few months We bought this water filter in October 2014 - now February 2015 and the display has completely gone. We've re-read the instructions and no mention of how to change the battery, so we've been online and discover that the battery unit is supposed to last for five years! We've only just about made five months. A real waste of money - we regret buying this item. 22 February 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Display Gone The meter display in the product gone off permanently within 7 months of use. The product is useless with out the display. But the Brita manual says the meter should normally last for 5 years but definitely it is not true! 17 January 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product Great product. I was concerned that I would go through the filters too quickly however as it seems to monitor the water put through the filter as opposed to the days it has been used i haven't found this to be a problem. Also I am surprised that our drinks really do seem to taste better and look clearer, I didn't realise that filtering water would benefit us so much. Great size too fits in the fridge door easily. 18 November 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Water Filter Love this filter, easy to fill and pours well without dripping, has the added benefit of the LCD display to indicate when the cartridge needs replacing. 29 April 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Design flaws reduce usefulness Looked nice when first purchased, but we found the handle less than comfortable plus it turned a yellowish shade. Worse, we discovered that the design of the gimmicky electronic meter resulted in it being very difficult to clean effectively - so when mould started gathering around the meter (maybe due to the jug being out of the fridge for half a day) we never managed to fully clean it off. As we did not like the idea of using a water jug with endemic mould spores, we gave up and bought a cheaper, less fancy Brita model. Surprised that German design would have such a hygiene flaw. 10 March 2014
