Q & As

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not loving it as I'd hoped I really wanted to love this machine, but after a few months of using it I have to admit that I don't. On the plus side, it was very easy to set up, thread and make a start with and it also has a good range of stitches and is intuitive to use. Straightforward, simple sewing is ok. However, after much use, I am finding that I am irritated more than not by it. The needle threader is fiddly and seems to work about 25% of the time so I've found perseverance is needed. Thicker fabrics or anything other than straight lines often seem to slip under the foot whilst sewing. There is a plastic part to the needle plate cover which pops out of place every now and again whilst reverse sewing. Cleaning lint from under the needle plate and bobbin area is very fiddly as the screws are difficult to access even with the tiny screw driver provided - oh and be careful not to drop anything if the plate is removed because there is nothing to stop it falling into the machine and is virtually impossible to retrieve. 08 October 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quiet, light I purchased this about a month ago after first looking and then booking a trial of a few brands at the High Wycombe shop. The two ladies were extremely helpful on both occasions. I had not intended to buy a computerised machine but I tested this and loved it. It is quiet and light unlike my old machine. The needle threader is a very good feature. You have to remember to press the needle up button first then it works a treat. I like the button to stitch backwards and have used the slow speed option for some tricky areas. 03 August 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Delighted with this sewing machine! I have recently purchased this sewing machine to replace a 20 year old predecessor, I am delighted. The instruction book supplied is concise and easy to follow. I found the needle threader impossible to master at first but a quick trip to You Tube resolved this. I would certainly recommend this machine to either an experienced or non experienced sewer. My thanks to the two ladies in your Cheadle branch haberdashery who spent time giving me advice and help in choosing an excellent product. 04 March 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to use As a beginner I found the set up instructions easy to follow and the machine easy to use. Good variety of stitches with simple selection process. 07 May 2014
