Burleigh Asiatic Pheasants Plate
Product informationAsiatic Pheasants was the most fashionable Burleigh collection of the Victorian era, introduced in 1827. Its romantic gentle blue pattern proved to be more popular than its dark Georgian counterpart Willow. Each piece of Burleigh crockery featuring this distinctive print, has become a timeless classic and will remain so for many years to come.
Established in 1851, Burleigh is a family business which is still manufacturing pure English earthenware products to this day. With a rich heritage in design and craftsmanship, generation after generation has produced works of ceramic art from the company’s model Victorian Factory - Middleport Pottery in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent using ball clay from Devon; china clay from Cornwall and the unique skilled decorating process of underglaze transfer printing.
