Canterbury of New Zealand England Alternate Pro Short Sleeve Youth Rugby Shirt, Purple
The new England alternate jersey for the pros takes its inspiration from the purple tracksuits worn by players in the 70s, 80s and 90s. The gold detailing on the shirt is designed to show the nation's position as a member of rugby royalty.
The shirt has a back-to-basics look but that doesn't mean the construction is simple. This jersey is designed with the nation's best players in mind so Canterbury have used a power-band looped neckline to add strength and reduce the chance of tears in the heat of the game. There are also CCC triple bar tacks to reinforce the jersey's strength.
Neatly balancing heritage and performance, the shirt's made using a cotton-feel fabric, which heralds memories of traditional rugby shirts yet is still able to give you the benefits of a high-performance polyester.
