Carven L'Eau de Toilette is a fresh, musky burst of floral notes. A luminous, airy fragrance. A wave of freshness, a flash of femininity against a soft, creamy backdrop.

Francis Kurkdjian first selected elegant citrus notes of Italian Lemon and Orange. These set the tone for the delicious fragrance before yielding to a charming duet of Sweet Pea and Peony, with their poetic and naturally sparkling notes.

Carven L'Eau de Toilette inherited from Carven Le Parfum the generous floral bouquet that is its signature, but the opulence of Jasmine and Ylang Ylang has given way to the grace and radiance of Freesia, underscored by White Hyacinth and Wisteria that add more transparency and luminosity. Patchouli has been replaced by white woods, including Sandalwood to soften the Musks.

Its lingering notes are delicate and creamy, with a burst of luminosity.

Brand Story

Carven is a profoundly modern House, founded in 1945 during the ardent post-war era. At the time, it offered women a new perspective on fashion, freeing them of convention and adding to their wardrobe, legendary fragrances to complement their attire.
 
When you are only 5ft1, dressing can seem like an impossible hurdle. Carmen de Tommaso, “Madame” Carven, gifted with a sewing needle and born with an innate sense of style was tired of never finding anything to suit her small size. She founded the House of Carven in 1945 to cater for the petite woman.
 
From the very beginning, Carven did things in a non-traditional way. It was a fashion House headed up by a woman as easy to talk to as she was nice, as open and simple as her spontaneous laugh.
 
She had a knack for lines that lengthened the figure andgave new meaning to the décolleté by inventing the half-cup uplift bra in 1950.  She travelled the world with her models and collections bringing back ethnic fabrics. She dressed women like Edith Piaf and Michèle Morgan.Madame Carven designed clothes meant for everyday wear, couture clothes with an “off the rack” feel, young spirited, fresh and natural with that “je ne sais quoi” that happens when you liberate chic from convention. Green with white stripes, the subliminal signature fabric of the fashion House, gave the link to the fragrances. “Ma Griffe” launched in 1946 and “Vétiver” in 1957.
 
While 2009 marked the rebirth of a fashion House, a new chapter is being written in 2015 with the arrival of two designers, Alexis Martial and Adrien Caillaudaud, to work on the Women's collections. Critically acclaimed for their first fashion show in March 2015, their avant-garde and urban style is very apparent within the Carven universe.
Carven Mode is becoming more established every day and features 21 boutiques and 600 points of sale including 60 in France.
