Celeste & Moon Owl Nightlight
Turns off too soon
Bought this for my new born and to enable us to feed him in the dark without turning the main light on. I found that it only stays on for about 15 minutes which isnt long enough for me to feed my little one and ends up with me having to interrupt a feed in order to turn the light back on.
On the plus side the light is very soft and relaxing,

A really good product
This has really helped sooth my daughter at nightime.

great night-light - even for big kids
I researched numerous night-lights on the web and this met all my criteria. It's rechargeable, stays cool, switches off after 30 mins (or on all night), easy to operate and a nice design. I just got it for my 12 yr old in boarding school so I didn't want anything too babyish. The price was comparable with others too.

very shoddily made
We purchased this light which the children adored. After around five months, when taking the plug out of the socket for only the second time, the top pin broke off in the socket leaving the socket unusable and an electrical hazard. Fixing this meant the electricity had to be turned off, the socket had to come off the wall and luckily the socket was not damaged beyond repair. Quite an expensive product and VERY shoddily made. A complaint is now on its way....

We orginally purchased a gro-egg but as new parents we wanted to be able to see our little one without turning on our desk lamp every five minutes and the grow egg was not bright enough.
We bought the owl to act as a night light for us which I could quickly glance over and see our baby without keeping us awake all night.
Unlike some other reviews I do not find the owl too bright on the blue setting my husband and I could happily sleep (well as much as a new baby will allow) at night and I could feed by it without waking my sleeping OH.
It goes on the stand to charge but doesn't get hot. We used it a lot when out baby was younger and had screaming fits getting dressed for bed. It is a fantastic distraction object.
I also think we will continue to use it as our little one grows up and it is super cute!!

Lovely, but not very sturdy
I have used this little light when feeding my baby at night so as not to turn on the lights and completely wake her up - this works very well. It also works as a signal that it is nap time during the day. It is really cute and lovely and my baby meditates to the changing colours before falling asleep. HOWEVER, this will be the THIRD one I have bought as the previous two have both broken when they fell off the side table. We love the little owl, but I'd prefer it to be a little more sturdy.

Either it is not practical, or it's logically broken.
It is a lamp, not a nightlight.
If you set the timer on, the room is dark and the child can't see it should they wake up. The switch underneath is not designed for them, so they can't activate it.
If it is in the dock when a child picks it up and then returns it back, the lamp re-sets itself and cancels the timer and light colour setting that the grownup configured.
So, if you choose to set it as a permanent lamp, be warned the colours are:
Blue light : - which is so bright that you should only use if you want to deter major shipping vessels from careering into nearby rocks.
Red light : - what kind of person would light a child's bedroom red??
Green light : - provides a spectre-like transformation to any face in the room for a child to wake up to!
Rainbow : - only slightly less distracting than a jubilee fireworks display.
Although it can be used as a cheap, safe colourful lamp (hence 2 stars), but that was not what I wanted so I returned it. And got a proper one.

We 'Owled' with de-light
Our two-and-a-half year old grandson just loved it. Walked around with it for days (and nights unfortunately). Well made, great light show. If it breaks - which I doubt - we'll not hesitate to buy another.
