Brand Story

Cosatto began its story in Bolton in the 1980s when the son of two nursery store owners spotted a need for PVC pushchair covers when their customers came into the shop on rainy days. After creating a fitted-on framed raincover, they sold out in hours and a business was born.

Q & As

Cosatto Bobbin Bouncer, Knit Wits 2.2 5 6 6
Bobbin bouncer serves it's purpose Lovely colourful chair. Good for keeping baby soothed and content 14 January 2014
Falls apart We have had this for 6 months and it regularly falls apart on the back leg. Every time we move it. It means we have to rejoin it. We don't have the bar on either because it pings off. Shame as liked the colours, toys and that it sits up. I don't think it feels safe so my little one really has not sat in it much. 22 April 2013
Unsafe and poorly designed I bought this product in November for my second child. We were unable to get the cross play bar to attach properly and it repeatedly 'pinged' off while my son was in the chair (nobody had touched it). Then the metal bars attached together to create the legs/bouncer kept sliding out of their rubber casing. In one instance the whole chair tipped over to the side and my son was close to being tipped out of the seat and onto the floor. I returned the chair and was given a full refund. When I took it back to the shop I noticed another chair with the metal legs taped together. This had been returned by another customer. Then looking at this website I noted that two other people had the same issue. I also have a good friend who had the same problem. I understand the European safety standards compliance but I would urge people not to buy this product as it is unsafe and in my opinion should be recalled. Very, very disappointing. 01 March 2013
Pretty Bouncer but not safe! I asked my sister in law to buy this bouncer from JL whilst I was pregnant as I thought it was light, portable and the bright colours and toys are great. However this bouncer is not safe! The supporting metal legs constantly came apart underneath so my husband had to tape them together. Even with the strong tape the legs slide apart and the rubber joists simply slide out under the baby's weight! Subsequently I no longer use the bouncer for my son as I feel that his weight of now 13 pounds will not be supported by the flimsy, poor quality frame. JL, please look into this as the bouncer is not of a good quality and therefore unsafe for little ones. 03 February 2013
Poor construction The chair is visually appealing with lovely bright colours. However there are a number of drawbacks to this product: We found the activity bar too easily detached and the music a little strange (tempos and tunes). The major problem though is the stability of the chair. If moved from one location to another the bottom supporting bar becomes detached. This is an issue as it is not immediately apparent, but is dangerous as the chair becomes unstable. I am now going to buy a replacement chair as I am frustrated with having to continually force the pieces of metal back together again. 02 December 2012
Lovely colours - waiting to see what baby thinks of it! From looking at the pictures I had thought this was covered with a knitted material but actually it's plastic (& therefore wipe-clean) which is much more practical. Needs two 'C' batteries for operation. Haven't had baby yet so can't comment on whether they'll like it or not. 11 October 2012
