Q & As

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 29 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great easy to use product. Love this item. Makes lovely meals every time. Have good two heat settings and keep warm option. Haven't needed more different settings. The oval design doesn't take too much space up as can be put against the wall. Only drawback that I would say is that it doesn't have light indicator that it is on. I keep touching it to check that it is warming up (not always easy to tell if you are using hot stock) as don't want to leave the house and realise that it wasn't plugged inn. Otherwise great product that does the job well. 11 February 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Does not keep correct temperature Bought this as we wanted a basic, small slow cooker. We tried several meals and all ended up being overcooked and burnt tasting, even on the low heat setting! There must have been a fault with the thermostat. We would have taken it back for a refund, but accidentally melted the lid handle (btw it isn't ovenproof), so it ended up in the bin. Subsequently bought another brand, which works fine. 28 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good value product This crock-pot is really good value for money - does the job and is easy to clean. Apart from the large sticky label which was glued to the outside surface (which gets hot and had to be removed before use), I have no complaints. 14 May 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Basic, easy to use Crockpot, but..... I was given one of these as a Christmas present. The crockpot is basic, but easy to use and clean. The clear lid makes it helpful to see how the food is cooking. It is a good size for our family and cooks food well. The only problem I have with it, is the lid does not fit properly. It rattles on the top of the lip of the main bowl and hot water splutters round the edges resulting in a small puddle on the work surface and if near it, you can get hit by the spitting water. 13 May 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by A very helpful piece of kitchen equipment After many years of wanting a slow cooker but never buying one because I couldn't be bothered with all the preparation; after speaking with a friend who said she just chucks everything in, I decided to purchase the crock pot. All I can say is I wish I'd bought one sooner, it really is a brilliant piece of equipment. This size was just right for four tasty portions. I haven't been too adventurous as yet but I have made some very tasty casserole dishes. I'm still learning but one thing I definitely know is that you only need to add a tiny amount of stock/liquid to the pot as it creates it's own liquid during cooking. As I said before, I don't bother with browning the meat first, I just throw everything in, vegetables, meat, pulses, potatoes etc., turn it on low and leave it for 10 hours. The smell as you walk through the door is delicious!! 19 November 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Needs to be removed from the market This slow cooker needs to be removed from the market. The outside surface is too hot to touch and this is common with this product (look at the reviews on Amazon). I thought maybe it would just be a bit warm, but it's like dipping your fingers into boiling water hot. A child or pet could easily burn themselves. Moreover, if the cord touched the side, the plastic would melt and cause an electrical fire. Given slow cookers are meant to be left on in an unattended house (e.g. while people are out at work), this is too dangerous. There are other problems with it, but the surface temperature is why it is not safe. 23 October 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Crockpot Bought it for son and girlfriend for a present they love it gives them chance to dinner ahead as they both work late mj. 16 October 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Larger than adverised I wanted a small slow cooker and the website claimed this is "ideal for 2 or 3 ". However, when I collected it the box clearly stated for 4 people and it was far too big for my needs. I bought a smaller Crock-pot (same make) at Argos which suits me much better. 01 May 2013
