I am so suprised at the negitive reviews , ive had my machine for over a year now and after a experimenting with different recipes i now make the perfect loaf very time , light and fluffy with an even crust
I wish it was a little easier to find replacment bread pans though as mine is getting a but scratched
I would recommend this machine all day long

I've been using breadmakers for years, and this is the fourth one I've owned. I'm very impressed. I wanted a larger machine which also looked good in my kitchen.
The machine works well. The loaf dimensions are good and the touch-sensitive controls are simple to operate. Audible beeps such as the end of cycle alert are sufficiently loud to be noticeable when you are away from the machine.
Dough mixing is thorough and the proving cycle long enough for a very good rise. The seed tray isn't that large, but an advantage to have. I've also tried the rice pudding recipe, just to see if it works ok (it does).
The one thing to know is that the sound of the fan circulating air during the process is audible. This isn't too obtrusive, as it is just a background hum, but it does mean that you'll hear it for up to 3 hours at a time.
The model looks just great, by the way, with a neat, clean shape and unobtrusive controls. I happen to like the Cuisinart brand very much (the soup maker is brilliant). I'm extremely pleased with this purchase and have no hesitation in recommending.

Bought this becausePanasonic out of stock and lived to regret it big time! Bread not a patch on Panasonic, recipes deadly boring so 6 months down the line it is DITCHED! Bought the Panasonic and back to being a happy bread baker!

Rated 3 out of 5 by SLG29 OK - not as good as the machine it replaced
I bought this to replace a Williams Sonoma bread maker that I bought when I lived in America years ago. I was hoping that this machine would be just as good, but it isn't. I often use the dough-only program to make bread rolls and it's disappointing that you cannot use the automatic extras drawer with this program. Also when the loaf has finished rising there is a slight crust on the dough as if the heat is too much for the rising. The loaves I've baked in the machine turned out fine once I realised that it requires a lot less yeast than I needed in my old machine. Looks stylish on the worktop though.

Same experience with the March 2014 review just before ours! Bread cakey, ok but not great, and doesn't compare with my sister's amazing Panasonic. Ours also faulty after about 10 uses - going to get the Panasonic instead!

I bought this item to replace a Panasonic that died from exhaustion, having produced really excellent bread. I bought after checking reviews and because of the 5 year guarentee.
The product seems well made and is easy to use. Sadly the results were very disappointing. Bread was heavy ,and even tasted different although the same ingredients were use as before. A minor fault appeared after 3 bakes and I returned the item. Customer services were excellent.
I have replaced with a Panasonic and there is no comparison. The bread is light and delicious, better even than the old one.
