De'Longhi F28311 Roto Fryer

Product information

The De'Longhi F28311 Roto fryer uses a unique rotating basket with a capacity of only half the oil of traditional deep fryers. To fry 1kg of food you need only 1 to 1.2 litres of oil, saving you money.

Operation is easy and extra safe thanks to an external control which allows you to raise or lower the basket with the lid closed. The extra large viewing window ensures you can always keep on eye on what you’re cooking, and with an adjustable thermostat of between 150-190ºC you can control the temperature as required, a nifty light telling you when to start frying.

Double filters for odour and oil vapour help keep cooking smells to a minimum and there’s a useful indicator telling you when they need to be replaced. With a removable dishwasher-safe lid cleaning is a breeze, and with integral cord storage the De'Longhi F28311 Roto fryer will look neat and tidy on the worktop when not in use.

Q & As

De'Longhi F28311 Roto Fryer 3.6 5 17 17
Good but you can expect more... resonable price The only thing I can think of a deep fryer to do is the chips. This one is disappointing one. It is always to get good fries with this fryer. The fries burns quite fast , or if you put different quantities will always have different results. II had good results with Disree potatoes and Maris Curies ones. With everything else the fries got soggy and tasted like steam. Very good for deep frying fish, chicken, or mozarela dips bits. All perfect but for chips :S. A+ on Easy cleaning . A+ Save on Oil. 4-5 easly can be reused too due to cleaning system. 10 July 2014
safe and easy to use by using less oil food is better cooked.if you like chips this is where to go! 30 April 2014
lives up to its claims Excellent way to deep fry foods without feeling guilty. Saves a fortune on oil, too. 18 March 2014
best fryer ever Purchased this fryer because our old fryer was rubbish, this fryer is great it makes superb chips with only half the oil, the price and service was 5 star from John Lewis, just ordered on line and collected at or locak Waitrose. This product looks good, works great and produces superb quality chips and other fried food,it arrived within 48 hours and the price was the cheapest on the net.. 09 October 2013
what a let down there is something definitely wrong with the basket design for it collapses when it is lifted out of the pan. this is the third roto frier i have had and none of the others have this problem. when i spoke to kenwood / delonghi they informed me i was shaking the basket too much in my view if the chips are not not given a gently shake they stick together and cook unevenly in future you can count me out, i wont be buying another delonghi roto frier 09 April 2013
Disappointed This fryer is a bad design. It is very fiddly to use the basket, the lid is of very poor quality, the hinge clip jumps out, which could be dangerous. The cable storage is pathetic, the plug does not fit in easily and then you may not be able to get it out.! I will be taking this back and I am pleased too see on the other reviews that JL have not had a problem in taking this item back. 04 December 2012
Not what I expected There are many excellent reviews for this fryer on the internet- that's the main reason I bought it. However my experience differs greatly from those who praise it. I found the basket fiddly to use- if it wasn't locked on the nut it was difficult to adjust once cooking had started. I followed the cooking instructions to the letter--the type and quantity of oil and potatoes ( rinsed and dried) No matter what I did I ended up with soggy chips!! I halved the quantity in the basket to see if that made a difference but found that as the oil heated up it stared to cook the bottom layer in the basket resulting in soggyness. Also I found that the chips cooked unevenly. Luckily for me John Lewis were brilliant in taking it back. Have now resorted to an old fashioned chip pan where I can shake the chips . 5 Stars to John Lewis for their service. 15 July 2012
De longi roto fryer This is the 3 rd one of these fryers I have had over many years. I would not use any other fryer now, much healthier with half the amount of oil and the fact that the food does not stay submerged in the oil. 19 June 2012
