Q & As

Rated 2.3 out of 5 by 41 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Bought with large toaster to match at a reduced price for buying both. Looks brilliant. I do not think it is particularly noisy as a lot quieter than the one it replaced. It has a narrower spout than I am used to which means I no longer spill water all over the place which is a good thing. So far so good. 12 March 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed I bought the De'Longhi Vintage Icona Kettle, Olivia Green as a Christmas present for my daughter in 2012. It has broken in just over the guarantee period which is very disappointing as I had expected De'Longhi manufactured kettles to last longer than cheaper makes. 25 February 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Rubbish and a waste of good money I bought this kettle about 12 months ago Very noisy and the element has already died - it no longer works Quite upset as it cost a lot compared to other kettles I have lost the receipt so cant return it 01 February 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent I purchased this kettle quite recently from John Lewis in Norwich and may i say , with a very helpful and courteous staff member . I purchased the kettle to match my toaster - It looks great , easy to handle ,easy to pour and for those of you that says it,s noisy - Sorry , it,s doing it's job and giving you boiling water very quickly . Get a life !! Well done De Longhi and John Lewis . Great purchase . 27 January 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Vintage style but too noisy I like it's vintage style and color, but too noisy for me compare to my last one. The filter is too tiny and takes more than a minute to boil even few cups. So, i returned it. I had other Delonghi products and they were good. 21 October 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst kettle ever My wife bought this as it matched the colour of the toaster. It's incredibly noisy, similar to a jet plane taking off. It is also very slow to boil. 14 October 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not built to last Don't you hate it when things go wrong out of guarantee? I bought the earlier, black model of this kettle to go in my newly decorated kitchen. It looked great - very stylish. It's a shame it hasn't aged well. The paintwork around the spout it blistering and getting progressively worse: it traps steam under the paint every time it is used, making the bond to the metal weaker and weaker. It was an expensive kettle and, thinking that De Longhi were a good manufacturer, I paid the price to get the 'look' I wanted. Unfortunately, that 'look' is becoming reminiscent of the paintwork on an old Ford Capri, circa 1973! 04 October 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Looks good, but product could be better Looks really stylish in the kitchen, however I've given a low rating as you cannot see how much water you are filling up as the handle gets in the way. You also have to fill the kettle up quite a bit even for 2 cups of tea. The indicator level is also quite hard to see. I've had a cheap Cookworks kettle before, but this kettle is a lot noisier than my previous. If you would prefer to go for designer, rather than functional, this is for you. 23 September 2014
