Product information

9 out of 10 healthcare professionals recommend Dr Brown’s Natural flow bottle for Colic relief.

The patented internal vent system creates a vacuum-free environment which eliminates the vacuum and air bubbles found in most baby bottles making feeding with this bottle closer to breastfeeding. It allows air to enter through the teat collar, without being incorporated into the breast milk or formula. The air is then channelled through the internal vent, to the area behind the feed.

The design of the bottle will help to reduce colic, while the vent system eliminates the negative pressure and air bubbles which also reduce burping and wind.

Over half of those changing to a Dr Brown’s Natural Flow baby bottle saw an improvement in 3 feeds or less, outperforming any other brand. – Results of HCP Colic Survey carried out by Consumer Analysis Ltd – May 2010

Q & As

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by They work! As far as I can tell they do exactly what they say they will. Although we only bottle feed for the occasional expressed meal most days, we had a very troubled baby with wind and tummy troubles until we switched to using a Dr Brown's bottle. The difference in her was apparent after just a day and daddy will be eternally grateful to the manufacturers for letting him share in feeding his little girl! Although I appreciate that they might be a bit of a faff to clean/sort if you are using bottles for every feed its not really an issue for us as occasional users. The slow flow teat and wide neck design is ideal if you are wanting to combine breast/bottle feeding. 16 September 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by very good I love Dr Brown's and own a rather large collection. they reduce colic and also help reduce air bubbles getting into the milk therefore preventing less burping times and baby can comfortably eat/drink leading to a better sleep. Dr.Brown's do specifically like to use their own sterilisers and bottle warmers althought these 2 products can fit different brands of bottles in. very happy with our purchase. every bottle includes instructions on how to use and how to sterilise and also come with an individual small bottle brush to make cleaning easier. I would suggest however that if you are tight on money to buy the bigger bottles (240ml) because you can load the 8oz bottles with 2 X 4oz same size as the 120ml. if you breastfeed u can store the milk for up to 24-48 hours an can serve at room temperature making it easy and less bottle making for those midnight feeds. 22 April 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good quality, but, overpriced 1. Well researched design: in principle, the design appears to have worked very well for our little one - because she didn't have much device induced 'gassy/burpy' problems. 2. Questionable user friendly / hygiene considerations: I understand the design principles and science behind the design. Practicality? This is the process - I wash the bottle and the components in warm soapy water, put them all in the steriliser and streilise - so far so good. Once sterilised, I have to handle all the components to assemble the bottle, so, even if I've washed my hands, the points is that all the components will have 'handled'. That is only one manual intervention if the bottle is used for a feed straightaway. I guess, all parents would agree that, that will not be the case all the time, and we generally take all the bottles out of the steriliser and store before actually using for a feed. What happens next? When it comes to feed time, the bottles and 'all the componets' are 'handled' again. Does this not beat the purpose of sterilising. We've attempted various steps in which to avoid this handling, but, not practical. 3. Robustness of materials used: Some research/testing & guidance as to how many times these could be sterilised / how many washes / how many months, etc. would be useful . The components are not all interchangeable - some of the components have a snug fit when mixed and matched and others are just plain loose. Imagine getting a steriliser full of bottles and fumbling in the middle of the night trying to find the best fit so that the milk does not leak! 4. Markings: we hope that the manufacturers settle for the printed format rather then the moulded format, because, it is an absolutely nuisance to judge/guess the water level when making a feed. 5. Overall - we like to prouduct and would recommend, but, the above listed 'annoyance factors' are a one too many. I guess, I should send this feedback to the manufacturer. 16 July 2011
