Q & As

Drumond Park Pumpaloons Game 1 5 1 1
A novelty for five minutes I feel really misled by the manufacturer - the photo shows huge inflatables with kids looking up at them in amazement; what I failed to notice was a small mention in the corner of the box specifying that they're only three feet high. They're also quite narrow and resemble something you get free at the fairground for failing to win the prize. Because they're so small, identifying who blew one up first is impossible unless one person is significantly weaker than the other - you have to do a feel test to see which is the firmest and this doesn't really bode well with kids who think that the object is just to make it stand upright. Once the kids have done it a couple of times, it becomes as tedious as just generally blowing up balloons - something they wants the adults to do. My kids had more fun bashing each other with the blown up figures than pumping them up which is obviously a little dangerous (and this activity was stopped of course) due to the sand filled bases. The bases also aren't wobble bases so you can't whack one and expect it to pop back up when fully inflated. Five minutes have gone and this is alreay in the charity shop pile. Would not waste my money! 15 September 2012
