A concealed element ensures easy cleaning, while a twin water indicator gauge means you'll always know when a trip to the tap is required - which thanks to the hinged lid won't prove too much of a chore.

Not the quality I expected This is the second Dualit Jug Kettle we have bought from John Lewis to fail in exactly the same place. It has started to leak from the base of the handle and in a short time will blow the on off switch. I thought the first we bought was just faulty and so bought another but it appears to be a design fault. Needless to say both failed just outside the guarantee period. 13 May 2013

Not lasting long.... Bought this and the matching toaster 6 months ago. The first kettle lasted a couple of months before it started switching off before boiling. The replacement is now four months old and the same is happening. Toaster works great but at this point I'll be changing for another brand. Disappointed as it looks nice and handles well (for a kettle!). Looking at similar complaints it looks like a design/parts issue. 26 April 2013

DESIGN FAULT - WARNING BEFORE YOU BUY! I expected this good looking kettle to last for years. Within the past 3 years, I have just returned my SECOND kettle with the same complaint - lid attachment screw snapped from the moulding. I refused a third replacement! Seemingly this is a common complaint and will cost you to have repaired when the Guarantee has expired. 17 April 2013

Stylish and Robust This kettle is very stylish but with industrial robustness. Well worth the money We also have the Dualit dome kettle, which I think is even better but my wife finds this model easier to lift and handle. 19 March 2013

Already returned! So disappointed, even more so, due to the price. Bought the matching toaster which (so far) is great. The kettle lasted a day and has now been returned. Noisy plus it cut out several times before boiling. The only definitive way to boil the water was to hold the button down manually, so is already back with JL within 24 hours of arriving. Unfortunately as we are so pleased with the toaster, will need to re-order the same kettle. Let's hope it's a case of 2nd time lucky. It looks great and feels sturdy so fingers crossed for kettle #2. 07 February 2013

Very attractive , good quality product I reviewed many kettles both on-line and in the shops, I wanted a good looking, good quallity sturdy kettle, many of the products viewed looked cheap and nasty, the Dulait 72470 Jug Kettle met all my criteria, its solid, very good quality and looks very attractive, very happy with my purchase 14 January 2013
