Dualit Burr Coffee Grinder

Product information

The specially designed Dualit burr coffee grinder produces consistently ground coffee, while preserving the maximum aroma of the bean. This works thanks to its conical shape, that spins more slowly than other types of coffee grinders to minimise clogging and produce less heat.

Key features:

  • A generous 250g hopper holds enough beans to grind up to 35 portions with no need to refill
  • The conical burr grinder is supported by a powerful motor and gear reduction, allowing for a slower, cooler grind
  • Portion control lets you grind only what you require each time, with the convenient dosing selector
  • Ten grind settings ensure all your needs are met, whether you want your coffee coarse (for percolators and cafetieres), medium (for filter machines) or fine (for espresso makers)
  • Removable burrs allow for completely effortless cleaning

Q & As

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 25 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product I am very pleased with this coffee grinder. It is efficient, not too noisy, and produces very good espresso. Thoroughly recommended. 27 May 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Is this the perfect coffee grinder? Fast, quiet, very easy to use, no static, one touch operation. In an electric espresso machine, produces gorgeous crema, in fact so much better than any ready ground coffee. 08 May 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very disappointing Even after washing and rinsing in fabric softener (as suggested by Dualit themselves) ground coffee clings to the machine and collecting hopper and the "removable upper burr" is impossible to remove. Only buy this item if you want to have to clean up ground coffee every time you use the machine. 03 May 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stylish and effective Quieter than our old grinder, and a better grind. Very happy with it. 11 April 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth the Extra? Looked at lots of grinders, read lots of reviews, reached the conclusion that there are a lot of very technical people that drink coffee :0) Its noisy, it gets static in the collector, On the other hand it grinds very consistently and is easy to clean. I'm completely happy with it and Happy with John Lewis too because they delivered it promptly at a fair price and doubled the guarantee. Buy it, you get what you pay for :0) 10 March 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent value for a proper conical burr grinder This is a proper grinder. No high-speed flat burrs melting your coffee. I can't rate it on espresso grind, but for cafetiere (coarse) it is excellent, with very little dusty fine grounds in the grind due to the slow speed of the burr. 10 December 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good mid-price choice with bearable compromises I bought this because the cheaper models seemed, you know... cheap. The more expensive models were out of my budget. This is a solid performer that produces a consistent grind with little mess. It is compact and good looking, and I like the 'one push' design with the adjustments tucked away out of view. The hopper, lid and receptacle feel fairly cheap, and the adjustment for dose and grind can be difficult to see if the unit is at the back of a worktop (the tradeoff for being so neat looking). It's also very noisy indeed. This delivers at the level I expected for the money, and I would recommend it to someone on a budget. If you have an extra 50-60 pounds to spare, an upgrade to something more durable feeling could be worthwhile. 29 July 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not fine enough for our Gaggia Our previous coffee grinder, by Krups, lasted for two years. It was perfect with our Gaggia Classic. The grind was very fine, produced perfect crème. The machine was a little delicate! We decided to purchase the Dualit, although it was almost twice the price, because it looked well made. In common with another review, the water sped through our Gaggia because the coffee wasn't fine enough! John Lewis were most impressive in receiving the Dualit back without quibble. We bought another Krups from them; it works perfectly. If you must have very finely ground coffee, make sure that this machine is suitable for your needs. 23 April 2014
