Dualit Burr Coffee Grinder

Product information

The specially designed Dualit burr coffee grinder produces consistently ground coffee, while preserving the maximum aroma of the bean. This works thanks to its conical shape, that spins more slowly than other types of coffee grinders to minimise clogging and produce less heat.

Key features:

  • A generous 250g hopper holds enough beans to grind up to 35 portions with no need to refill
  • The conical burr grinder is supported by a powerful motor and gear reduction, allowing for a slower, cooler grind
  • Portion control lets you grind only what you require each time, with the convenient dosing selector
  • Ten grind settings ensure all your needs are met, whether you want your coffee coarse (for percolators and cafetieres), medium (for filter machines) or fine (for espresso makers)
  • Removable burrs allow for completely effortless cleaning

Q & As

Dualit Burr Coffee Grinder 4.7 5 20 20
Excellent value for a proper conical burr grinder This is a proper grinder. No high-speed flat burrs melting your coffee. I can't rate it on espresso grind, but for cafetiere (coarse) it is excellent, with very little dusty fine grounds in the grind due to the slow speed of the burr. 10 December 2014
Good mid-price choice with bearable compromises I bought this because the cheaper models seemed, you know... cheap. The more expensive models were out of my budget. This is a solid performer that produces a consistent grind with little mess. It is compact and good looking, and I like the 'one push' design with the adjustments tucked away out of view. The hopper, lid and receptacle feel fairly cheap, and the adjustment for dose and grind can be difficult to see if the unit is at the back of a worktop (the tradeoff for being so neat looking). It's also very noisy indeed. This delivers at the level I expected for the money, and I would recommend it to someone on a budget. If you have an extra 50-60 pounds to spare, an upgrade to something more durable feeling could be worthwhile. 29 July 2014
Not fine enough for our Gaggia Our previous coffee grinder, by Krups, lasted for two years. It was perfect with our Gaggia Classic. The grind was very fine, produced perfect crème. The machine was a little delicate! We decided to purchase the Dualit, although it was almost twice the price, because it looked well made. In common with another review, the water sped through our Gaggia because the coffee wasn't fine enough! John Lewis were most impressive in receiving the Dualit back without quibble. We bought another Krups from them; it works perfectly. If you must have very finely ground coffee, make sure that this machine is suitable for your needs. 23 April 2014
Makes for really good coffee Fresh ground coffee every time. Excellent machine. 21 January 2014
Great grinder great price I looked at many different grinders, a lot were very expensive and more than I wanted to spend. I came across this product and based on the reviews I read I bougt it. It looks great and does exactly what it says on the tin. Feels well made and very much up to the job. One criticism I noted from others was that they thought the product noisy. I don't have a problem with this and I don't find it noisy at all. Great buy highly recommended it. 15 January 2014
Very good burr grinder The benefits of burr over blade grinder are well known and this is a fine product in that category. Its downsides are that it is quite noisy as it goes about its work and it also suffers from static electricity build up in the container as the ground coffee falls in. Give it a good tap and it sorts it out. It grinds to a sufficient fineness to use in an espresso machine producing a super drink with perfect crema. Thoroughly recommended. 06 December 2013
A good replacement I bought the Dualit Burr grinder to replace another brands one that I had owned for about 10 years. What attracted me to it was the ease of cleaning it compared to the old one and the positive on-line reviews. It is very easy to operate and my only quibble is that the beans in the hopper seem to stick at times but a simple nudge gets them going again. 27 November 2013
A Brilliant Coffee Grinder Rotating the hopper to click it onto one of the 10 coarse - fineness settings is a super way to set the grinder. I use 10 for filter paper, 6 for Cona and 5 for cafetiere. To make one cup of coffee put the beans for one cup into the hopper, set the grind level and press start and then stop when the beans have gone through. It is powerful and noisy but not for long as it is very quick. 21 October 2013
