The ‘auto pulse’ feature retains the integrity of the food being processed without pulverising ingredients, while leaving hands free to add further ingredients. Auto pulse also provides a softer, gentle setting for folding-in denser ingredients such as chocolate chips, fruit and nuts or for processing biscuit base for cheesecakes.

Dualit XL1500 Food Processor, Polished Chrome 4.4 5 16 16
Cakes Galore I make a lot of cake and tend to prefer a food processor to a cake mixer. In the midst of making my nieces birthday cake my trusty old food processor gave up. I bought the Dualit XL 1500 on a whim because I had chocolate butter icing to whip up. I have been so impressed with it ever since. It has an excellent motor and makes light work of creaming cold butter. Also, the variable sizes of jugs makes it ideal for big cakes or a handful of breadcrumbs. I haven't made use of all the attachments, but have fine chopped a number of vegetables in a very short time. Definitely recommended. One of my better impulse buys. 17 April 2014
Good little work-horse I've had mine 3 months now, and am pleased with its versatility and style. Good selection of accessories in the handy storage box; auto-pulse function very useful; looks good on the work-top; easy to keep clean. One down side is that it only comes with sucker feet, which are no good if you need to move the processor about as I do (lives at back of work-top under wall cupboards, but has to be lifted forwards for use): I had to get some 'normal' feet for it. A very minor negative is that the black lid at the top would be more useful with a little hole in it #I drilled one#: when the processor is not in use, and with the plunger removed, the lid then acts as a dust-guard, with the hole allowing air to circulate in the bowl, keeping it fresh. As supplied, the lid fits tight to the plunger cup, and I presume this is intended so the cup can be used as a storage jar, so having a hole in the lid does scupper this. However, I find it much more useful as an air-flow dust-cover! 13 March 2014
Sturdy and well designed My first food processor was made by Braun and lasted 24 years. My second was a Kenwood. After 7 years, the bowl sheared off from the handle. Kenwood could no longer replace this bowl. This time I looked for a processor that used a thick, good quality plastic. Dualit looked the most promising. I have used this machine frequently in the week that I have owned it. It has performed very well indeed at slicing, shredding, grinding and blending. It looks good and all the tools are robust and easy to clean. An excellent choice. 20 January 2014
Hopeless Having read some of the previous reviews I bought this as a present for my wife. I had seen comments about the smaller two bowls spilling into the others but discounted them as the other reviews were so positive. What a mistake. The other comments were absolutely right. When using the smallest of the bowls the lip at the top fills up with blended food and when it is lifted out it goes into the other bowls and all over the work surfaces, a two minute job turns into twenty once you have to clean all three bowls and half the kitchen too. This will be going back to JL as soon as I can get it there. 11 January 2014
Dualit XL1500 Food Processer Having been disappointed having to return Magimix 5200Xl & replacing it with Dualit I am not disappointed It does not leak out of a hole at bottom of large bowl as it is sealed. No food spills over into another bowl when using 3 or 2 bowls. It has a pilot light to warn you electricity supply is on.The adjustable slicing blade works well & saves having several blades. The attachments all fit well& easily into storage box.It has a very powerful motor & sucker feet hold machine very stable. The automatic pulse button is very useful when you are feeding food into machine.I am very pleased with the performance of this machine no wonder it won a Which Award! Easy to wash by hand or dishwasher but remove before drying cycle.Highly Recommend to anyone who wants a straightforward no nonsense food processor. 08 August 2013
So far so good I have never used a processor before but have been impressed with my Dualit. Have used it for pastry and cake mix and it does an excellent job of combining the ingredients. Have yet to get to grips with all the attachments but have no doubt they will do the job. A robust and quick processor. Only small difficulty I have had is fitting the attachments in the storage box. 11 December 2012
So sorry I bought this, the only thing it has been reasonably good at is breadcrumbs The small and medium bowls are pointless as anything chopped in them clogs in the rim of the bowl and spills into the next bowl and also spills all over the work top as the inner bowl is lifted out! Pointless! I have just puréed a small amount of soup, less than a litre, and lots of liquid poured out though the seam between the bowl and lid! This is the worst processor I have ever had I am so angry and disappointed with it! 11 November 2012
