Q & As

East Coast Multi Height Highchair, Natural 2.3 5 3 3
Very poor, not very safe. The straps are an ergonomic disaster. They are unable to safely stay on the shoulder and to get the waist bit loose enough to reach the strap between the legs means that it is overall too loose to hold her really comfortably and safely in the seat. As there's no permanent strap between the legs, I think there needs to be a safety strap or wooden bar downwards from the tray between the legs and the shoulder parts of the straps need to come from higher up. As a grandpa of 12 I have seen and used a fair few highchairs and am sad that this one falls way below my expectations in terms of safety and comfort for the younger child when sitting . I think it could be very easily improved by altering the straps and then it would be terrific. As it is, I can't recommend it. 14 May 2014
Great for toddlers not smaller babies and one 'but' Love love love this highchair for our toddler who is just not quite ready for a normal adult chair but too big for his high chair. I'm thinking of getting another one. It looks great, is VERY stable (he rocks) we use it without the tray on the front, but I have to agree with the other reviewer - what is going on with the straps??? They start too low down so fall down his arms, it's not a problem for us as it's used for a toddler I just fasten them around his hips, we did try feeing them through the back hole but they are not quite long enough so end up too tight on the crotch strap - shame since it's otherwise perfect for a toddler - (like a trip trap but fraction of the price). I even sit in it as it's so sturdy (like a high stool without the front tray on) and takes up much less space than our other traditional high chair. I also have a 5 month old who has just started weaning - however this type of high chair is not (in my opinion) suitable as he still slides sideways and so needs more support from our traditional padded, curved, higher back high chair… so a quandary, they are great for toddlers, the "BUT" being - please please sort out the strap problem, then it gets a 5 star without hesitation!! 03 February 2014
Straps a disaster It's lovely looking and easy to put together but the straps are an ergonomic disaster. They are unable to safely stay on the shoulder and to get the waist bit loose enough to reach the strap between the legs means that it is overall too loose to hold her really comfortably and safely in the seat. As there's no permanent strap between the legs, the first time I put her in and she arched her back she disappeared under the tray and almost caught her chin on it. I think there needs to be a safety strap or wooden bar downwards from the tray between the legs and the shoulder parts of the straps need to come from higher up. As a Mum of four I have seen and used a fair few highchairs and am sad that this one falls way below my expectations in terms of safety and comfort for the younger child when sitting (currently 9 months). I think it could be very easily improved by altering the straps and then it would be terrific. As it is, I can't recommend it. 14 January 2014
