Ergobaby Bundle of Joy Baby Carrier, Black/Camel
Great baby carrier
This is a pricey baby carrier but worth the money in my opinion. It is nice solid construction & easy to carry the baby around. It puts the weight more around your hips instead of your back so the babies weight is easier to handle. My son is 8 weeks old & fits nicely into the little insert. Note that the baby does get very warm in this though so don't over dress him or her. I would highly recommend this product and am glad I chose it.

Comfy to carry baby but both get very warm
Have been using this with our 4 week old baby. She loves being close to us and it helps her to settle. Not enough head support to use when she was a tiny new born but now she's able to support her head a little herself we feel more confident she can maintain a safe position. Carrier is comfortable to wear and can be put on by one person with minimal practice. Only downside is the insert acts like a duvet so baby and adult get very toasty warm - this will probably limit it's use in the heat of summer.

Comfortable baby carrier
I live in London so really wanted a good carrier for all the walking and tube journeys! I had borrowed a bjorn carrier from a friend but wanted to invest in my own. My baby is 6 months now and find the ergo very comfortable as it puts the weight on your hips rather than pulling down on your shoulders. I did a lot of research and the ergo is meant to be better for your baby's hips as they sit as opposed to dangling from the crotch. You can also use it for longer as you can put your baby on your back (haven't tried that yet!). My only issue is that my little boy (and me) gets so hot with him constantly facing inwards. I therefore put him in less clothes! Aside from that I much prefer the ergo to the bjorn.

I bought this for my 9 month old son as he is quite heavy to carry around and needed something with good support. Really easy to put him on my font or back. Very happy - Wish i had bought it sooner.

Dog walking made easy!
Very easy to use on your front, I find it very difficult to get my daughter in using the ergo baby on my back, she is one and it may get easier as she gets older but at the moment defiantly a two man job. When carrying on front or back much easier than the babybjorn I had previously, it frees my legs up while walking uphill and distributed the weight much more effectively but she does miss facing forward! I would most defiantly recommend this item, we would not be without it!

We have had several different types of carrier but everyone I knew who had this loved it so much and so we thought we would try it when we needed something to take overseas with us. We love it too! It is lightweight and comfortable and even with a heavy almost-2 year old, it is very easy to wear. Highly recommend this product!

Wonderful baby carrier!
It was my husband who expressed a strong interest in getting a baby carrier. He wanted something that would look like a backpack and give him the opportunity to 'up and go, hands-free' with our baby. We live in a big city and sometimes a carrier will be a more practical form of transportation. I also realised a baby carrier would be an excellent item to add to our list because it would give dad more chance to have close contact, as well as being useful for me to potter around with baby attached.
Originally we purchased a BabyBjorn carrier because the name seemed synonymous with baby carriers and we hadn't done that much research into other carriers. After reading many reviews, and getting some feedback from other mums, I was swayed by the great enthusiasm for the Ergobaby carrier. John Lewis do a great value price for this 'Bundle of Joy', which simply means you get an Ergobaby carrier and the infant insert in one 'bundle', as opposed to buying thee pieces separately.
When we received the product, the quality spoke for itself. Yes, it is slightly more expensive than other named/popular baby carriers, but the cotton is much softer and baby skin-friendly. We have washed ours ready for our new arrival and it's come out beautifully. The carrier also has an inbuilt hood to cover baby's head from chills or if they are sleeping and it has a useful zipped pocket area for mobile phones and/or keys.
The other very important point that sealed the deal for us was the option to carry older baby/toddler on your back, meaning more long-term usage from the Ergobaby compared to other carriers. My husband said the Ergobaby immediately felt more comfortable and practical when he tried it on than the previous brand we purchased.
Please beware that there seems to be a lot of fakes on the market. Some are obvious because they have a false Ergobaby logo sewn on, others are more difficult to spot. For this reason, we bought from John Lewis.

Comfortable for parent and baby
The advantages of the Ergo over another well-known baby carrier (!) are both for the adult and for the baby.
For the adult, the baby's weight is mainly carried on the hips, in the same way that backpacks have a waist strap. This means that you don't end up with very sore shoulders. I can still happily carry my 12kg 21 month old in this, whereas I got sore shoulders using the Baby Bjorn from when he was very little.
For the baby this is more comfortable as their knees are brought up into a froggy position, like getting a piggy back, rather than dangling from their crotch, which isn't good for their hips.
One criticism I've come across is that you can't face baby outwards - this is true but babies can become over-stimulated this way and don't have the option to nuzzle into your chest when they need a break. Facing outwards and crotch-dangling also creates an unnatural curve of the spine.
The sleeping hood and zips are very useful.
