Fisher & Paykel DD60DCHB7 Built-in Double DishDrawer Dishwasher, Black

Product information

Please note: This product is not available in our shops for viewing. However, you can still place your order in store.

Hosting a unique design, the Fisher & Paykel DD60DCHB7 built-in dishwasher has two independent drawers rather than a traditional drop-down door, making it especially easy to load. The drawers are operated separately, enabling you to sort wash loads effectively and giving you a genuine half-load option.

Triple A-rated for energy consumption, washing and drying, the economical DD60DCHB7 uses as little as 8 litres of water per drawer, and has a delay start option of up to 12 hours, enabling you to take advantage of cheaper off-peak electricity. It will accommodate up to 24 large (29cm) dinner plates, but also takes long-stemmed wine glasses for extra versatility.

With single-touch programming and 9 wash cycles, the DD60DCHB7 remembers the last programme used, so all you need to do is press ‘start’. Intelligent load sensing means that it will adjust water consumption and energy usage according to the needs of the load. Finally, a child lock provides added peace of mind.

Q & As

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Future of dish washing I have had this model for 7 years, and can find no fault with it that would not be found with any other machine. That being it needs cleaning on a regular basis but what doesn't? I can fit a 8 place dinner setting in to wash large over sixe dinner plates side plates glasses and cultery to takes it in it's stride plus it is quiet so conversation can continue at the table while dessert and cheese are enjoyed at a slow pace. The second drawer can then be used for these dishes and I often will unload the first course dishes and reload with pots pans and serving dishes. It does take a little imagination to load when I use my non circular china but it still does the job well. 22 August 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not So Good - There are Drawer-backs! When you're paying a large sum for a dishwasher you expect it to be good. Whilst the concept of being able to split your dish washing in to 2 independent areas and wash small load sounds good, it has it's flaws. Each drawer will need it's own tablet, powder, rinse aid and salt. You end up using twice as much as a normal dishwasher, possibly more. Each drawer is not capable of correctly stacking a John Lewis dinner plate or large dinner bowl. To get them in you have to lie them at such an angle that you lose much of the area of the drawer. Plus you lose the cleaning power. You can only get 4 large John Lewis dinner plates in one drawer at a time. Therefore, you are not washing as much and actually have to do an extra load to compensate. If you don't load it correctly you will break the lid motors and have to call out an engineer on your guarantee. (Been there, done that.) You have to make sure that everything is loaded correct and won't move. Other wise it's a rewash (more detergent). Also with a drawer with 4 dinner plates in and other washing it makes the drawer too heavy to open and snaps the handle. You have to call out the engineer for that as part of your guarantee. (Been there, done that, 3 times). In the end, the engineer installed a part and then superglued it so that it would not break again. People have reported that it is quiet. Not all the time. The instruction manual tells you to check the outlet pipes. Now that really is a faff and probably won't cure the problem. Another engineer call (Been there, done that. Fixed it for a week and he was back again). So if you are paying a lot for a dishwasher and managing to get a 5 year guarantee, you're probably going to need it. By year 6, you'll probably be looking for a new dishwasher. We're now out of our guarantee, and after failing to find someone reasonably priced to fix it yet again, we're looking for something else. It's going to be cheaper in the long run. 08 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quiet, looks good, can run 2 separate programmes either together or separately This is my second dishdrawer, and I wouldn't want a different machine. Previous one lasted 12 years, but I had bought it in NZ and struggled to get parts for the old model. This one comes with a 5 year warranty, though I don't expect to need to use that! Machine is very quiet, looks really good, and can run different programmes at the same time in the top and bottom drawers. Alternatively, you can run one drawer at a time, and then fill the other once you've used the dishes, ie save yourself putting away in the middle. Delivery time said it would be about 3 weeks, but it came in about 1. Fits in standard dishwasher space. Overall, I'm very happy with this. 04 September 2012
