Garmin vivofit Fitness Band
Love the Garmin
Have found the Garmin really useful and has been a great motivator to keep walking and moving. the loop that Garmin have issued means the Garmin strap is now very secure. Love this product. Can highly recommend.

Have been used this for a few days and find that is completely inaccurate so in my opinion, a waste of time and money. Compared to the step counter on my S5, you can end up with 3 times as many steps on the garmin as any movement of the arm like brushing your teeth it will make it count steps. Furthermore, Garmin support, completely useless. No interest from their side in helping customers as there is no reply to tickets raised regarding this product.
I will need to go to the store to see if i can return it even though it has been used as the product, certainly does not do what it claims.

The bracelet kept coming undone on this tracker, as others have reported. Yesterday I got an unsolicited email from Garmin, offering a free clip for all users, so they obviously know they have a problem with the bracelet catch! Today I lost my bracelet so too late for me. I haven't even had this product for a month so I am very fed up. Don't waste your money!

Some reviewers have reported that the band had a tendency to come undone and fall off. My band seemed to fit very securely and has never shown any sign of coming loose. It comes with two sizes of band so you can choose the size to suit. Since buying this, Garmin have sent me a small loop (free) to put over the fastening to make it even more secure. So now I have absolutely no qualms about it falling off!
Since buying this I have started a fitness regime, so I purchased a Garmin heart rate monitor to use with it which works really well as I can now count the calories burned while working out, which for me is the most important number it shows . After I spent an hour working out yesterday calories went up to 2300 for the day. For me this is more of a motivator than the steps count.
I have a desk job, so the red line that comes up when I have been sitting down too long is a great reminder to get up and move!
The sleep tracking, I think, is waste of time. When I wake up in the morning I know how well I have slept without having to look at a chart so I don't bother putting it into sleep mode.
I love the fact that I don't have to keep charging this. Apparently the battery will last about 6 months. I can wear it all the time, even in the shower as it is waterproof. It is very comfortable to wear and the fact that it also doubles as a time piece is great too.
There are many fitness bands to choose from on the market at the moment and this is definitely the best.

I've had this for a few weeks now, wear it continuously and really like the day to day comparison that it gives. I find it comfortable and have had no problems with it coming loose. As it is hand movement that is recorded rather than actual steps I find that hair washing gives a considerable boost to my daily steps!!!

I loved the idea of this product, as a keep fit aid. The two let downs with this product (how the manufacturer did not see this is beyond me)
1. The fastener catches on everything and subsequently falls off the wrist, before you know it; the band is on the floor and has a scratch on the face.
2. It is honestly really difficult to read the time/ display on the band as it faces down your arm and not 90 degrees inwards, like a normal watch.
If you are thinking of buying this, try it on and try it out in store to make sure that it is for you, I wish that I had!

Fell off, now lost
Was happy with this until it fell off my wrist and I lost it, after less than 3 months.

keeps Me Active!
Wearing the vivofit not only keeps a track on your steps but gives you a gentle reminder to get ups and move after an hour on the comfy chair! It also keeps track of your movement at night for some interesting viewing on a chart the next day. Not sure if it was meant to come with instructions, but a quick visit to the site and I was up and (literally) running. It can be used for cycling too - I just secure it between the straps of my shoe and record the distance/mileage from my bike tripometer on the database when I return. Keeps me more active - what could be better than that?
