Naive I was naïve enough to think that I was getting an actual reconditioned ex-GPO telephone which signified solidity and reliability. In fact, have received a flimsy piece of kit made in China. Ring tone awful and when I press the buttons to dial, they make a very peculiar sound.Will see how long it lasts. Have kept all packaging in case I have to send it back! 12 April 2012

Retro telephone When I fist saw this item I felt absolutely elated to think we could have a phone of yesteryear, I ordered without any fuss or bother, the item arrived packed well and the weight of the phone is excellent, ie, the whole phone doesn't pick up when you answer a call unlike a lot of the more modern phones. The delivery was excellent also, I would recommend this to everyone 29 February 2012
Faulty sound Loved the look of this retro style phone, has good weight to it, although it is lots lighter than it's original. Number buttons worked although I was a little worried they may stick due to their quality not seeming too great. It was the receiver that was faulty, no one I called could hear me unless I shouted and I couldn't hear them either, they sounded too far away. Shame as I'd really like a beautiful corded, great quality house phone I can enjoy long conversations on. I sent this phone back within a few days of receiving it. 19 February 2012
Lovely to look at (and it works!) We wanted a phone that would look good in our hall on an antique table and works with tele banking and the like. This does that. It is well built and has a nice finish to it. 01 February 2012
