Rated 1 out of 5 by Kiki4 Disappointed with Product
The table arrived with one thread not drilled in the base so could only use 2 of the three screws provided. Also the product does not look as per the picture. In the picture the base is silver but the one I received featured a white base.

Really pleased with our new table. It had been assembled pre delivery which meant that we had nothing to do and could use it straight away. We ordered some Eames side chairs to go with the table and are delighted with both the table and chairs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Robin61 A disappointing experience.
1. The table was only 74cm high instead of 76.5cm as advertised in product description on JL website.
2. The instructions said assemble in 20 minutes with 1 person. It actually took 20 minutes with more than 2 people.
3. I think that the design is flawed. The tube slots into the cast iron base but it has nothing to slot on to the glass base which makes it very awkward when trying to tighten the table and keep it centred at the same time.
Although JL was very helpful as always, I had to give it 1 star due to the problem we had.

As i said, loved the look, but not very practical on a tiled floor as it wobbles, have had to put cardboard under it !

table looks great in my new kitchen. The glass table makes the kitchen look alot bigger and works well with my glass splashback. Downside is that you do need to clean the table everyday (we have a daughter aged 2!), but, we would need to clean any type of table at the end of every day so no extra work for us.

This is a beautiful table, but the assembly was a nightmare. The instruction booklet was briefer than brief and we really had to fill in the gaps with our own initiative. The base was extremely heavy and after assembling it upside down it was extremely difficult to turn the right way round. The main disadvantage with this table however is that it does not stand straight, flat and sturdy but wobbles slightly. The wobble means that using the table becomes noisy and annoying. Not fit for purpose. Very disappointing quality from John Lewis. This product is expensive and I would have expected far better for the premium price paid.

We have had our table now for a few weeks and I am still pleased with the look of it. Simple but elegant design that has done the trick in adding another modern element to our kitchen. The glass top reflects the light and images from the garden so its quite striking. However being glass it does show up any fingerprint or mark- and we are not children. It has now come to me having to include a glass spray clean every evening. Still i have already succumbed to nightly toiling over our glass topped hob unit. That reminds me the steel covered fridge needs rebuffing. Will be able to do the base of the table at the same time...
You do need 2 people to set this up because the base is incredibly heavy, the steel finish is a cover over a cast iron plate that feels like a ton. You are recommended in assembling it upside down and then obviously turning it over- hence 2 or 3 people needed. So you are unlikely to move it when it cleaning the floor.
