Decorating inspiration

The eldest son of Sir Terence Conran, design is in Sebastian's blood. He studied industrial design engineering at Central St. Martins.

The son of Sir Terence Conran, Sebastian studied Industrial Design Engineering at London's Central Saint Martins College, where he designed record sleeves, posters and clothing for The Clash.

Stacking shelves at Habitat since his teens, after college he worked for corporate identity consultancy Wolff Olins and for Mothercare, before founding Sebastian Conran Associates in 1986. He has been designing stylish and innovative products ever since.

Designer in Residence at Sheffield University, and Visiting Professor at the University of the Arts London, Sebastian says he is "constantly exploring ways of making the things around us work better".
