A design classic

The Aeron chair, available through John Lewis, will be familiar to many. When it was launched in 1994, it was the chair that changed everything. Designed by Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick, Aeron's pioneering design, precision engineering and build quality makes it the ultimate in high-performance ergonomic seating. The Aeron is part of the Museum of Modern Art's permanent collection in New York, and is in the Design Museum, London. It is celebrated not only because it looks cool, but because its design set new benchmarks and made people think differently about how they work and sit. Since Aeron, Herman Miller has gone on to lead the seating market with fresh and contemporary designs, with Mirra, Celle, Setu and SAYL, offering a wealth of choice – without compromising on what makes a Herman Miller chair great. All products are backed by Herman Miller's unique 24/7 12 year warranty.

Responsible leadership

Herman Miller's vision is to grow a profitable business through responsible leadership. Central to this vision is an uncompromising commitment to environmental stewardship that runs through the heart of the company's operations. The earliest formal environmental statements date from 1953, when founder D.J. DePree noted, 'We will be good stewards of the environment'. Today Herman Miller is committed to becoming 100% carbon neutral by 2020.
