The Hotpoint CIB644CE induction hob offers a sleek and clean look for your kitchen. It features 4 induction cooking zones with booster heat for efficient cooking when you require fast results. 9 power levels are also on hand to give you a variety of cooking options.

Ultra-efficient induction works by creating a magnetic field between the hob and steel or iron pan. The heat is instant, easily controlled and energy efficient. Front location touch controls give this Hotpoint hob a contemporary feel, while also having the advantage of being very easy to clean.

Note: Only use pans suitable for induction hobs. These include: enamelled steel, iron, stainless steel (depending on the alloy) and some aluminium pans with a ferromagnetic base. Glass and copper bases are unsuitable.

Q & As

Hotpoint CIB644CE Signature Induction Hob, Black Glass 3.7 5 6 6
Not as expected. I've had the Hotpoint induction hob for a few months now and I must say I'm not very happy with it. The first issue I noticed is with the very way it's built to work. With every induction hob I've used in the past, low temperatures are controlled by the hob using less power. With Hotpoints, it controlls the temperature by pulsing the magnets and full power/off for different periods. Ever tried tempering chocolate on a hob thats going from full blast to off every few seconds? Utterly impossible! Secondly, the controlls seemed fine at first, but after a few months use I'm already noticing them becoming less sensitive. They are heat activated controlls and by regestering the heat of your fingers. Unfortunately when you've had the hob on for a while, the glass heats up and barely registers the heat of fingers! Oh, and if you've got any moisture/grease/dirt on the controls you can forget about using them altogether! But thats fine, not like a kitchen hob is likely to get messy ever :S Simply put, this is the worst induction hob I've ever used, I absolutely couldn't recommend it to anyone. Spend the extra £100 and get a better brand. 23 October 2014
Induction hob Good price excellent delivery I am looking forward to having it fitted. 29 July 2014
Dreadful product - would NOT recommend ! This hob was bought as a replacement for an 8 year old hob which had started to play up after years of continuous use. We chose this because it was reasonably priced and we thought all induction hobs were the same. We were wrong. Firstly it doesn't fit snugly into the work top and stays slightly raised allowing food to be trapped under the edges. Hotpoint claim that is correct. Then we found that if more than a couple of rings were in use the power dropped. To cap it all a 'fail' light came on and wouldn't go off. We had it removed and replaced for a different brand. JL were very helpful when we did get it sorted eventually. 29 July 2014
Excellent product and service The hob seems really energy efficient, heats up instantly and the controls are very responsive. Also very easy to clean. Really pleased with the overall service I received. I used the installation service which was excellent too. I had an LPG hob removed but not all the fitters are qualified to remove them, so when placing the order, make a phone call to John Lewis to say you need someone who can. Really pleased! 28 March 2014
Superb Hob A great product, our first Induction Hob and is superb. The surface is easy to clean as the glass never gets very hot and so spills don't burn onto the glass. The controls work well and are simple to use. The delivery was spot on time so all in all a great service. 04 February 2014
Not a Gimmick! I am so pleased with this hob. It really is fast and controllable. I cooked with gas for many years and reluctantly had to change to electric after a house move. I had a Halogen hob which was very slow but this Induction hob is very much like cooking with gas except that it's much easier to clean! I rarely use the extra boost as it's fast enough without it. Very pleased with this purchase, 16 October 2013
