Hotpoint HUI62TP Induction Hob Electric Cooker, White

Product information

Finished in a sleek white finish to complement your kitchen, the Hotpoint HUI62TP induction hob electric cooker has plenty of features for the discerning culinary expert.

A 4 zone induction hob is an effortless form of heating for hob cooking. Induction heating gives near-instant heat (comparable to gas) and allows you to precisely control the temperature at which you cook. As only the area at the base of the pan is heated, it's also highly efficient. Touch control allows easier operation controlling the hob with the touch of your fingertips, offering great functionality and precise temperature control.

The main multifunction oven offers a range of features and functions for the best possible cooking results. Innovative programmes such as bread, pastries and a roast chicken function ensure you get the best possible cooking results. The top cavity features a Solarplus variable grill and conventional electric oven for added cooking flexibility.

An internal light illuminates the main oven interior so you can see clearly through the viewing window. With enamel liners, the oven cavities in this HUI62TP cooker provide effortless maintenance, as the lining resists cooked on food and spills for supremely easy cleaning.

Thanks to a fully programmable timer your dinner can be ready for you when you come home from work - simply set the timer and the oven will come on and go off at the set times. Triple glazed cool to touch doors top off this cooker.

Please Note: Only use pans suitable for induction hobs. These include: enamelled steel, iron, stainless steel (depending on the alloy) and some aluminium pans with a ferromagnetic base. Glass and copper bases are unsuitable.

Q & As

Hotpoint HUI62TP Induction Hob Electric Cooker, White 3 5 1 1
Triumph of technology over functionality! When our Belling Format cooker of 20 years died recently thought it was time to embrace the latest technology. Found it quite difficult to find a freestanding cooker with a ceramic induction hob at a reasonable price but settled on the Hotpoint. A good looking cooker with sleek lines and touch controls. I'm not sure, but it seems to have been designed for people who don't know how to cook as the designers have let there imaginations run away with them. There are a multitude of cooking functions, probably due to the digital nature of the controls and micro chip programmability which the designers have made full use of. This is all fine and as I have a degree in Design Technology I have managed ok! The user guide is poor in parts & does not explain all the functions. I had to work out how to use the top and main oven together. Use logic, a bit of technical know how and it's fine. Some descriptions in the guide are very badly explained - no idea what they are talking about. Initial meals cooked in the oven have turned out fine. Ovens heat up quite quickly with the preheat indicator very useful. The induction hob will take a bit of getting used to as quite a different cooking technique to what I've used previously, but not an issue. Some of the touch controls need several commands to function and most need a confirmation touch. Very disappointed with the loudness of the minute minder alarm beep. Can only hear it if in the same room. Overall I expect I shall be able to use this cooker successfully once I have got used to it's operational idiosyncrasies. If you're wanting a product that is simple in function as per those cookers with knobs, this may not be for you. 03 December 2014
