Stride is a retro range that offers an exciting selection of storage pieces made from attractively grained oak and oak veneers. The entertainment unit has splayed legs and features a shelf for media devices and cupboard with integral handle for DVDs. There's also a handy cable cut-out in the rear.

Much nicer once built Initially I was disappointed, as the oak veneer looked similar to a cheap unit I had previously. Once built it looked much better, especially with the leg design. Be aware, I put the sides on the wrong sides and the shelves didn't line up, it then took me another hour to fix it. I managed to build it on my own. Take note that it it is a much lighter shade than you see on the website. Price may be a bit expensive for a self assembly veneer piece. 12 May 2013

Great look We bought this piece for our living room, and absolutely love it! It was a bit tricky to put together, because of some poor labelling in the instruction manual but we got there after about 45 minutes. The unit holds a good range of set top boxes and consoles - as well as DVDs and such like. 01 April 2013

Attractive and Easy to Build A great, sturdy piece of furniture on which to store your TV and hi-fi equipment. Particularly nice for a piece of furniture to have legs, which seems rare in the Swedish design-school of furniture manufacture. The unit is dispatched with plenty of clear instructions and it was easy for one person to build (took about an 40 mins). Couple of small points for people like me who are too lazy to check things in the shop and do it all online: - The door on the front slides, rather than swings. - Be aware of deep equipment that you plan on putting on the shelves as I found some equipment is too deep and I had to put it on top - not a fault with the product mind you. - One improvement might be to split the back panel in two so you could choose to leave one side open - per the previous issue. 10 January 2013

Looks good Nice piece of furniture. Comes flat pack but no problem assembling it. Only criticism is that no matter what height you have the shelves, you can't fit DVD. So cupboard mainly for equipment not storage. Still very pleased with it though. 01 January 2013

Fab unit but watch rogue parts labelling Excellent quality unit only spoiled by the fact that the two side panels were mislabelled at manufacture / packing! This resulted in us building it and then wondering why the shelves sloped!! I blamed my assistants (the kids) but they were smart and hadn't got anything wrong. Pretty disappointed on that front as we had to unscrew everything and rebuild from scratch. Once rebuilt luckily it was a quality unit and now looks great. 28 December 2012

Great product Nice material, easy to put together and to clean. Only remark, you can't put dvd's upright in them whichever way you put the shelves in. I left one of the shelves out to fit dvd's in now. 14 October 2012

Excellent This entertainment unit is constructed from good quality materials and is easy to assemble. It took 2 of us to build it up in about 45 minutes. There is plenty of storage within and the shelves within the 2 compartments have 3 adjustable height settings meaning slimmer items such as DVD players, broadband routers etc. can be stored on a shelf without wasting valuable space. As always, great service from John Lewis. 07 August 2012

excellent piece of modern furniture Good design. Easy to build,took about an hour with easy to understand instructions. Very versatile,my wife now stores the best china in the half behind the sliding door. 04 August 2012
