Good (but misleading product details) This is a substantial wardrobe and it does look good when assembled. The instructions are detailed and in an easy to follow, step-by-step format. The fittings are individually packed in polythene pockets and have a sticker marking for each so they aren't confused and can be used in the right order. The panels and other wooden components aren't stickered and that would be a good addition just to make things easier, although it isn't too difficult to identify each part. This is not really "partial assembly" furniture though because you get two flat-pack style boxes and everything needs to be put together. The metal drawer runners are pre-installed, but that's it really! The description of "Oak solids and veneers" and the price of the item doesn't prepare you for the amount of admittedly dense chipboard, or is it MDF, that the veneer covers. For the price paid I was also disappointed to see oak effect hardboard panels used for the wardrobe back sections and drawer bottoms, although I think they will do the job OK. It just brings an air of penny pinching to a product that isn't budget priced. The solid oak doors fitted well and work ok but my problem came with the drawers. The 4 metal dowels, part 'W', are too large diameter to screw into the metal receptacles fitted into the drawer fronts or the pre-drilled holes in the drawer sides. So I am now stuck and awaiting a call on Monday to try and get the right parts supplied so the drawers can be finished and installed. The dowels are not something I have seen before and hardware retailers don't stock them. Very frustrating. 19 January 2014
Disappointing Doors don't slide properly so we have actually never been able to shut them fully without a great deal of fuss. Would return it as well, but we like the range and can't find anything else and cannot bear the pain of going bedroom furniture shopping again. Also, most wardrobes in this style seem to be built in the same way, so alternatives seem limited. Surprisingly flimsy when assembled. Our hardwood floor is old so is not completely flat. This means that the wardrobe does not sit completely square, it leans very slightly to the side and again affects the door sliding mechanism. Would have expected the wardrobe to have been more sturdy than this. Have rectified the problem with some cardboard under one of the legs. A solid back, rather than the flimsy laminated hardboard back would likely solve the problem and give a greater feeling of robustness. 26 August 2013
very disappointed needed to be modified in order to be built properly - very shoddy - i am complaining. 10 July 2013
Slightly disappointing One of channels the doors slide in is too narrow on my wardrobe which means it's a pain to open and close - particularly as the doors don't have knobs on! I would ask for a replacement but it was such an ordeal to put together I can't really be bothered! Overall the product is ok but the quality control is sliding - unlike the door on my wardrobe. Boom! 09 March 2013
