Robot-Cleaner What an amazing invention - just press Clean and this little machine gets going and cleans your floor. Press Dock and it returns to its home base. No more sweeping up crumbs. Perfect. Only gripe is that it doesn't make me a coffee along the way 09 December 2014
great for tidy homes If you have a generally tidy clean home this is great. If you have a lived in home with kids and pets, this is not for you. clever little vacuum but not to be compared with a good vacuum cleaner that picks up dog hairs that collect on the edges of rugs. Ideal for tidy people with open plan living. The delivery by Hermes was dreadful, 1 week late delivered to the wrong address! As usual John Lewis sorted everything out and give great service helping choose another vacuum, thank you JL Nottm online staff are very helpful too. 29 November 2014
Amazing Piece of Technology We have only had our Roomba 650 for 2 weeks, but she has been very busy sucking up dust and dirt day and night. She is quieter than our last vacuum cleaner, and because of the rotating brushes picks up a lot more items (threads, hair etc) with ease. The carpets look cleaner and levels of dust are being continually lowered. The bin is easy to empty and easy to clean, as are the brushes and filter. I use a child's soft large paintbrush to help clean the bin and filter. Their tool is great for the brushes. There's something very pleasing about knowing my home is being cleaned while I am at work, asleep or doing another task. The great side effect is my home is tidier, it has to be so that Ruby Roomba can do her job! I highly recommend. I'm now eyeing up the rest of the range! 12 November 2014
Absolutely Fantastic! We'd been debating getting one for ages, wish we hadn't waited! I was tempted to go for the model up but after reading lot's of reviews I went for this one and we could not be happier. We have 2 cats who make a right mess every day and now we have Roomba set to come on at 4pm every day (7am at the weekends) and we always come home to a lovely spotless house! We had previously been using both the Dyson animal upright and also the handheld which I used to use around 3/4 times a day with having a litter tray, no more thanks to Roomba. Plus, this little guy hoovers up more than I thought was possible, much better than the previously mentioned models, the carpets and rugs look brand new, works as well on the tiled floors as the carpets and he gets in all the corners and edges, absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend :) 30 October 2014
Amazing I did a lot of research before committing to buy the Roomba...it's expensive BUT worth absolutely every penny! Used it for the first time having already hoovered..(with our dyson) it still managed to collect a phenomenal amount of dust and debris! It gets in to the corners and cleans along the skirting boards, round table legs and tricky pieces of furniture. It's quieter than I expected and we let it run whilst watching the tv no problem. So nice to come home to clean floors having been out all day - the timer function works well and we return to Roomba on his dock with a tummy full of dust! The spot clean function is useful too for quick clean ups of mess. The tray is easy to empty and brushes easy to remove and clean. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Roomba, A brilliant buy and the service at JL in Chichester was excellent as usual. 27 September 2014
Worth Every Penny The roomba 650 has been worth every penny. I am now a month into owning it, and my floors have never been cleaner. My bedroom carpets look like they are new. You will quickly change where you put things down to make sure its paths not interrupted. You can either schedule it or do what I do and press the start button most mornings as I leave the flat, and come home to the whole flat spotlessly clean. 10 May 2014
i-Robot Roomba 650 Vacuum Cleaner We are absolutely delighted by this product. The convenience of having a vacuum cleaner which operates by itself, while we are away from home, and returns to its base automatically when it needs a recharge is quite outstanding. What is more, the cleaning effectiveness of the i.Robot is second to none and we are still astounded by the amount of dust collected in what we had always regarded as a pristine clean flat. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the product. 01 April 2014
Useful Review after day one. Firstly your excitement has to wait until it has completed its first battery charge. Thereafter it is easy to use, picks up most of the bits, it is fairly quiet and its little rotating brush gets into the edges and corners. However there are a few hints and points to emphasise. You have to minimise the amount of clutter on the floor to ensure it can squeeze itself into all the places you want it to clean. I first set it off upstairs with all the bedroom doors open. This isn't the best strategy.. Its method seems to be fairly random and it can cover the same place more than once. I thought it might create a sort of mental map of the room and having got the basic dimensions, it would work up and down. Instead it is more like a dodgem car. It went out of one room before it had finished in there, and so it spent more time running about than it needed to. I suggest that you close the doors in turn or use the electronic fence that is supplied to screen off some areas. You can also just pick it and its charger up, put in a room and close the door on it. I also have fairly new carpets which generate quite a lot of fluff. The container is quite small. It goes back to its charger and bleeps at you when it wants to be emptied. Consequently, the repositioning, emptying and closing doors means that it is not quite the time saver I thought, but it still easily beats dragging a Dyson around the place. I guess with more regular cleaning, the fluff will be much less next time and I will not be interrupted as much. You can't throw away your regular vacuum cleaner because there will still be times when you will want to move furniture and do it all properly, but for the routine of keeping the place looking tidy, I think it will prove useful. The number of times that I clean under beds is low, so this will provide a great improvement. in just that area. 18 June 2013
