The Indesit IWDD7123 is a great-value dual-function washer dryer: the ideal space saver, this machine will dry almost a full wash load, with a 7kg washing / 5kg drying capacity. It has a load balancing system, automatic water level control and a detergent recycling system – so you don’t need to use so much

The Indesit IWDD7123's numerous wash programmes include a special function for sports clothing and shoes, wool, silk/curtains, jeans and let’s not forget Indesit’s ‘Eco Time’ - use this button whenever you need to wash a smaller load and quickly for strong savings in water and energy.

Operation is straightforward thanks to the interactive LCD display with time remaining and spin speed notification, and you can delay the start of the IWDD7123 by up to 24 hours to coincide with off-peak electricity timing. The condenser dryer section of the appliance has 3 level sensor drying and a dedicated Express Wash & Dry cycle for smaller wash loads, for the ultimate in convenience.

Good value We've had our machine a few months now and it has taken a bit of getting used to. It has a large drum for it's size - the first machine we've owned which takes a big sleeping bag - but the programs are a bit frustrating. It's annoying that the shortest drying cycle is 40 minutes - it can really crease things up if they are in there for too long - but the variable temperature is useful. I'd also like more program's which are wash only as they tend to be wash and dry which doesn't suit every item of clothing. Having said this, it has a good selection of program's - the jeans one is excellent, but it probably suits a single person or couple who doesn't need to do too much washing rather than a family. 15 May 2013

Dryer Not Good The washing cycles are fine but the dryer leaves everything steaming and too hot to handle even when still damp. On the positive aspect the long cycles are extremely quiet. The size is good, just fits in a very tight snug location! Delivery service was good as expected from John Lewis. Next time plan to just buy a washing machine. 09 February 2013

Great Washer/Dryer Very happy with the Indesit so far. It washers clothes efficiently, to a good standard and the dryer works well. All in all a very good washer dryer and at a very reasonable price. John Lewis were once again superb and will get repeat trade from me in the future. 27 January 2013

Which? Review led to this purchase I have only has this washer for a very short while but thought I'd post on here to perhaps set out a few things I've already noticed. We use the washer for 3 loads a week and I only want to use the dry setting for about 40 mins about twice a week as the energy and water used for drying is high for this type of machine compared to a normal tumble dryer. ----There is no quick full load setting. You can only do an eco cycle if you have a 1/2 load which saves water not time! In our last machine, we could wash a full load of mixed materials in 30 mins flat but as far as I can see, there is no such facility on this. ---- The dryer uses steam and not air like a normal tumble dryer so you cant adjust the heat settings. Its all or nothing and you cant lower the temperature!!! My tip would be to set the dryer at the shortest time interval and then check. The clothes get VERY hot, so be careful what you put in. In the first use of the dryer, I managed to shrink some manmade fibre clothes but the cotton were fine and dried well considering the 40 minutes they were there. ---- Some clothes come out dried uneven due to the above. ------ if you want an extra spin to extract even more water from your clothes, you have to set the "spin" cycle first where water extracted is sent to the pipes and then the "drain" if you want the water actually out of the pipes otherwise next time you try to do a wash you will get a message to drain. A bit annoying really. ---- Im not sure why but my clothes are more wrinkly after a wash. I will have to find out why by adjusting load etc. Im not unhappy but not over the moon with this but for the price, it seems ok so far. 24 January 2013

Just the ticket Size matters. We needed a washer/drier to fit into an existing space - the measurements provided allowed us to slide this into place easily. Instructions for installing the machine were spot on. Just wish this washer had a shorter wash program... 29 December 2012
