Crane sheds &
summerhouses

If you've ever thought about building an extension or conservatory, an outdoor room offers a less costly alternative as well as being unlikely to put you to the trouble of applying for planning permission.

We sell sheds and summerhouses from Crane, a Norfolk family business which prides itself on the quality of workmanship and materials in its outdoor rooms. They may not be the cheapest garden buildings on the market, but they're beautifully made from high-density FSC-certified timber, and designed to last for decades. The price you pay includes delivery and installation, and the way they're constructed means they can be disassembled and taken with you if you move house.

Crane has designed a range of buildings in several colours exclusively for us; the collection includes summerhouses, an outdoor studio, a gazebo, a greenhouse and proper garden sheds, including a range designed in collaboration with the National Trust. In these videos you can see how they look in detail. Managing Director James Crane also explains why, if you love your garden, their products really are worth the investment if you want to spend more time in your outdoor space.

SIX WAYS TO ENJOY YOUR OUTDOOR ROOM

Work space

Do your day job from home without the inevitable distractions, and enjoy the world’s shortest commute, by setting up an office in your garden. We can help with furniture and technology advice – ask a Partner in store or see our buying guides

Creative studio

Surround yourself with nature and feed your artistic side. Whether you love pottery or painting, sewing or sculpting, you’ll feel inspired in your serene garden space.

Kids’ club house

If toys and games are taking over your home, why not create a dedicated playroom in the garden? Lay carpet for comfort and add beanbags for story time.

Home gym

A dedicated space for exercise will help you maintain the motivation to keep fit. You can also spill outside for yoga and stretching in sunny weather.

Drawing room

Retreat from a busy day at work or at home by creating a reading nook at the bottom of your garden. Add wing-back chairs and plenty of tactile throws.

Boutique cinema

Install a large-screen television, comfortable seating and a mini fridge, and enjoy your very own cinema. You could even hold pop-up film seasons during the summer months.
