Q: I'm looking for a new mop and would really like it to last. I've had trouble in the past with mops that just seem to move the dirt around – what would you recommend?:
A: By far the best mop we sell is our e-cloth. This telescopic mop with micro-fibre cloth is suitable for all hard floors and requires only water, as the cloth does all the cleaning - without chemicals. Just remove the cloth, run it under the tap, rinse and replace. Once the job's done, just chuck it in the washing machine and repeat next cleaning day. The replacement heads even come with a bonus dusting head, so they make it easy to have sparkling floors!
Q: I'm committed to finally tackling cleaning my oven having put it off for a while, and am hoping you have something that will make it as painless as possible?:
A: Our Oven Brite Kit will make your life so much easier - everything you need is in this box, including a reusable bag you put your oven shelves into to soak, and strip them of any built up grease. The rest of the oven is dealt with by the powerful cleaning solution which will leave your oven glistening as new. You can combine this with the Hob Brite which works magic on all kinds of hobs, leaving a protective layer when used regularly.
Q: I have a stainless steel sink which is starting to lose its shine - is there a product I can use which will make it gleam again?:
A: We have several products which I would recommend for use on stainless steel, but the best multi-use cleaner is Method spray; this uses natural ingredients to bring back the shine to your stainless steel. It will also give it an added protection against future grime. If you find you have a particularly tough stain or blemish on your steel, then I would also recommend our Bar Keeper's Friend (available in our shops). This little gem works on pretty much any surface and takes out those little marks you thought you'd never get rid of.
Q: I'm having trouble getting rid of the limescale on the taps in my bathroom and I don't want to resort to using heavy chemicals. What can I use?:
A: Why not try our Dri-Pak spray? This completely natural product is perfect for getting rid of those annoying white marks left by water residue.
Q: What's the best thing to use on surface dust around the home? I've used various cloths and dusters, but feel I just seem to be moving the dust around.:
A: Our E- Cloth range has everything you could possibly need to tackle the surfaces around your home. The dusters contain tiny fibres which attract dust and dirt to them like magnets. For other surfaces around the home, try the general purpose cloths which when used with just water take up even the toughest grime.
Q: I have a lot of wooden furniture around the house which I need to clean but would also like something which nourishes the wood as well?:
A: Method Wood polish is just that, a cleaner and a polish. It's non-toxic and uses natural oils to bring a shine to your furniture. You could also try Wheeler's spray polish (available in our shops) which uses beeswax to really feed the wood and make it glisten.
Q: I seem to have a bit of dampness in my utility room. We haven't had any problem with mould, but is there anything which will help absorb some of the moisture in the air?:
A: We sell this moisture trap; these wonder crystals can absorb up to 1 litre of water and stop damp causing damage to your home. If you also hang your clothes to dry in there, using one of our
hanging dehumidifiers will be added protection.
Q: I've just moved house and cleaned out the fridge, but there seems to be a smell that won't go away. Do you have a spray or something I can use to combat this?:
A: We don't sell a spray but do have this fridge freshener which keeps your fridge smelling nice, and also has a handy indicator to tell you if your fridge is too warm - that often leads to the smells occurring.
Q: I think my dishwasher needs a clean as it's starting to smell a little - what do I do?
A: Washing machines and dishwashers quite often need cleaning in order to keep them functioning properly, especially if you live in a hard water area. We sell this Ecozone cleaner which contains 6 applications for your appliances and can really help to prolong their lives. We also sell these handy smellkillers to remove any lingering odours - and with a name like that, so they should!
