Videos: What are limited edition original prints?

A limited edition original print is handmade by the artist in their studio. Each artist uses various techniques to create stunning pieces of artwork. They are made in limited runs, sometimes as small as 8 or 10 copies. They then sign and date their work.

Why invest in an original print?

As opposed to open-edition prints, where an image is reproduced as many times as required, an original print is limited. It’s not a copy but an exclusive work of art. Each impression is unique with its own individual edition number; because of this it should hold its value. It could potentially increase in price if the artist becomes successful.
